Cottage holiday rentals in Burgh Island

We had a great stay in the house. Our group was 4 adults, 2 children and a dog and it was the perfect size for us all. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was very peaceful and so quiet at night we all got great sleep. We visited Bude, Clovelly and Widemouth over our 4 day stay and it was perfectly located for them. Roger provided all the information we needed beforehand with guides to everything we could possibly need. He also responded to messages straightaway. The hot tub was a nice bonus and easy to use. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting in the garden. I can't think of anything that would have improved our stay, I would definitely love to return.

An absolutely amazingly beautiful little cottage with very peaceful surroundings! Mark and Tracey were perfect, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay for our mini moon! Mark the food was delicious and there was plenty of it! Mark lit a BBQ for us one night and when we went up he had laid plates of spices and herb butter! The cottage was clean and cosy! Plenty of fresh towels and the kitchen had everything we needed! We are so glad we picked you guys for a memorable stay! We will see you at Glasto in June xx

We’ve just spent a wonderful four nights here, absolutely loved it. Helen is a wonderful host, property was exactly as described, warm and cosy, lovely homely feel. Big bonus with this property is the free onsite parking, a rarity in Polperro. The walk back up from the village is a bit slower, but is how it’s described in the listing. We preferred to go to & fro the village via Brackenside lane (follow google maps) which continues onto a pretty woodland path and down a long flight of steps coming out near the ice cream shop. The ice cream shop is amazing! Beautiful lunch at The Three Pilchards and the views from the roof terrace eating area are spectacular. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

We had the most peaceful weekend in Flower Barn. What a stunning place! The photos really don’t do this beautiful cottage justice. The hot tub was perfect, the bed so comfy and huge! And the bath was an extra treat. The welcome basket was a lovely touch too. You will not be disappointed- it’s sad to leave!!

We loved our stay at Miranda’s place! It was clean, the views were stunning & she was extremely responsive and helpful. Thankful for this wonderful spot for some time with family!

This is SUCH a lovely place to stay! Nigel has put in amazing touches in the air bnb that makes you feel right at home! The amenities in the air bnb were 10/10, and the place itself is so clean and airy - the location is superb too, it’s so lovely to sit out in the hot tub and listen to the nature around in the evening sun! Nigel was also such a helpful host, and replied quickly to our questions and was on hand if we needed anything! Definitely recommend here if you want a relaxing break! Thank you again!

We had a lovely stay at the Honeysuckle cottage.Helen and Jonathan went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was a lovely cottage with all the amenities you could ask for . Walking in to find homemade scones and jam, fresh eggs and freshly baked bread was a treat!! The cottage is in a great location and we found it quiet and peaceful.The hot tub was private and clean. Having a private garden made it easy to manage our dog as well. We have stayed in multiple air bnbs before, this one was special and we will definitely come back! A beautifully kept cottage with plenty to do within walking distance, friendly locals, and an unlimited amount of nature to explore. Ceri and Daniel are great hosts, and clearly care about their guests! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, would highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful Christmas stay at this lovely cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious layout and how well equipped everything was. The cottage had all the amenities we needed to make our holiday special, from a good-sized kitchen to comfortable living spaces. Located in a quiet area just a stone's throw from the beach and cliffs, it offered us the perfect blend of relaxation and stunning views. Our host was incredibly responsive and made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their hospitality was outstanding. This cottage is ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the festive season in a beautiful setting. We can’t recommend it enough and are already hoping to return soon!

A lovely quiet place to stay. Lilac cottage is charming and clean, with very comfortable beds. The private garden to the cottage is a nice feature. The shared swimming pool was beautifully warm. The location of Court Farm suited us very well - a rural feel but a relatively short drive to Bude town centre and its beaches, or to Widemouth Bay coastline. We didn't go in but the pub opposite Court Farm was lively on the Friday night of our arrival (live music). It was, however, very quiet throughout the rest of our 5 night stay. Excellent communication all the way through from Court Farm Holidays!

Spotlessly clean hideaway. So peaceful yet minutes walk from the centre of Dawlish. Completely safe walled garden for the dogs. Train station 5min away, great coastal scenery in all directions. Nice walk to Dawlish Warren and plenty of places to eat and drink. 3 generations and suited us all. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful, peaceful location with great walks from the door. The cottage is wonderful, really well equipped and comfortable, it has everything you need and we were very grateful that Caroline provided a cot, highchair and stair gate for our toddler. The garden was huge and perfect for our dog. Caroline and Christopher could not have been more welcoming and kind, really lovely hosts.

My son, two dogs and I spent two nights at Wedlands cottage and it was a fantastic stay. The cottage was very comfortable with two gorgeous bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen , a modern shower room, cosy sitting room and a bonus downstairs loo. The courtyard front garden was secure for my two dogs to go out and sniff about in. It was definitely a little home from home and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The host Cheryl was lovely, she gave us excellent instructions on finding the cottage and the parking spot in advance of our stay. And on the day of arrival was waiting for us to let us in. There was also a lockbox for the key in case that was needed. We were also thrilled to find Cheryl had left a pint of milk and some breakfast goodies for us and some treats for our dogs which was a lovely and welcome surprise. The village is very quiet which we liked but there isn’t a village shop so you do have to drive to find shops or places to eat. Not a problem for us though.

Communication with Mark was great. The house is really lovely, as described, and the oak extension is great. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and our 3 year old grandchild slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you Mark.... we definitely would like to return.

As a group of four we had an excellent stay at Briardene. The cottage had plenty of space and was extremely well equipped and very clean and stylish. The hot tub was lovely and the quiet nights enabled a good night's sleep. There were two parking spaces which was great as the village is small with narrow roads. The village pub was warm and welcoming and the food was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The house is absolutely beautiful, it's better than the photos. When we walked in the smell was amazing. Great location, would recommend. Love, love, love!!
