Set on a quiet eco-estate on the fringe of Howick, it is conveniently close to the Ambers, the Karkloof trails, the Midlands Meander, Midmar Dam, and numerous cafes and attractions.

The cottage has its own private garden and own entrance and is joined to the main house. The property has remote gate access, with secure parking directly outside the cottage. Some highlights include uncapped WiFi, solar power backup, a four poster queen bed and a single day bed, a smart TV and a trendy kitchette! We would love to welcome you soon!

Forest Falls Treehouse

Enjoy the serenity of nature on the edge of the Umgeni Valley. Conveniently placed less than 10 minutes away from Hilton Village. This is no normal cottage. Our Forest Falls Treehouse is built at the confluence of two streams. Perched amongst trees, birds are constant visitors while shy nyala often make an appearance. This self-catering cottage can be reached after a short walk in an indigenous forest down steep stairs built into a cliff face. Meals can be purchased through prior arrangements.

The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming. The cottage is not suitable from small children. The cottage is not pet friendly.

Nestled in a 1940s property with solid brick walls and oodles of character, the Cottage is ideal for one or two people. Large open plan bedroom with open truss ceilings, wooden floors and a large cupboard with kitchenette and bathroom which consists of a shower, toilet and basin. The unit uses a gas geyser. Wifi and tv run off an inverter during power outages. This unit is not equipped for cooking, but an air-fryer is provided. These units have wooden floors which some guests may find noisy.
