For your convenience there is a circle drive easily accessible for those pulling trailers. We have lots of room to unload ATVS and trailer/ truck parking. We are located 42 miles to The University of Tennessee, and many other points of interest in Knoxville.

The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. The Cottage is an adorable tiny house, offering 500 square feet of living space with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. The queen-size bed is upstairs in the sleeping loft.

2 Bedroom/1 Bathroom house. Perfect for a few people or two couples looking to ride. Centrally located between Royal Blue (2 min) and Tackett Creek (13 min). No trailering is required to get to either areas from the house. There is also plenty of parking for larger trailers. We are next to a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. This is 1 of 4 homes that are next to each other so we can accommodate all group sizes. Please let us know if you need help booking larger groups.

The cozy creek cottage is your home away from home, tucked away in the hills of East Tennessee you’re sure to find rest and relaxation here. Whether you are enjoying nature on our patio overlooking a lazy creek or watching the cows graze in our field next door time seems to go a little slower here. Cozy beds will give you the rest you need after a long day in the mountains or on the water! Plus a fenced in front yard for your fur babies so they fill right at home along with you!

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.
