The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

We live on 6.5 acres and are a great base to explore all that Bendigo has to offer; the Art Gallery, Capital and Ulumbarra theatres, Central Deborah Mine, the popular Markets, Music/Food/Wine/Beer festivals and the many great cafes and fine dining options including award winning "Masons" and "The Woodhouse" We live opposite the Bendigo Regional Park which boasts many mountain bike tracks and are also in close proximity to some local wineries.

Located in the Golden Triangle, in the geographical centre of Victoria it is aptly named after a first nation word for quiet. Aminya is a place to relax, unwind and recharge and there's a whole lot to do here too - fossicking and detecting, walking, cycling, biking, swimming and fishing. Those into degustational delights will enjoy the local wineries, fine dining and farmers markets.
