Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Caroline County

My stay was great! Just needed a place to lay my head and this is exactly what I needed. Very clean and organized felt right at home definitely recommend!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tonya and Michael’s hospitality. The room is inside their home, and it is not a private entrance, but the room was very private once you enter. Tonya and Michael are awesome hosts, friendly, kind, helpful, but if you want to just come in and go to your room, that is good too. I stayed 3 months for a travel job and they added to my experience. I am glad I got to meet them.

This place was a private oasis within easy distance to Ashland and Randolph-Mason College. The house has wonderful early 19th century architecture and charm with updated amenities such as internet and modern plumbing. The house is tucked away on a dirt road back behind a corn field. There are plenty of places for you and your 4-legged companions to roam. There is a quaint garden out back, a grill, and a fire pit for those who love the outdoors. Indoors boasts a library, living room, kitchen and dining room all furnished with pieces in keeping with the history of the home. Up the narrow, winding staircases (there are 2) are 4 bedrooms and a second bath with a claw foot tub. Some of the electrical outlets have yet to be updated but the owners have provided power strips equipped with adapters. While I have to admit this may not be an option for city dwellers, people with very small children, or those with handicaps, I loved it and felt right at home.

Perfect stop for a roadtrip or if you’re trying to see the city. Really all you could hope for from a host.

The place was bust absolutely beautiful. My 8yr old daughter and I stayed for a weekend getaway and there was so much to do! There’s a lot of wild life; from finding turtles, catching frogs, and checking out all the birds around the pond. My daughter and I spent hours in the canoes and had a fire each night! There were also plenty amenities at the house and within 10min from all the local food spots. The host was more than accommodating and very friendly as well! Will absolutely be coming back in the future!

This secluded cabin was homey and inviting! We had a wonderful time here. It was very close to a wedding we attended and was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day!

This was one of my first trips at an air bnb and it was amazing. It was a bit dusty, but out in the woods like that it’s bound to be. The forest was beautiful, and the disconnect from my average day to day was made perfect by my experience here. From the local trails to the small pizza place nearby, this location was something special.

All I needed was a simple place to sleep for 3 nights and Cheryl’s place delivered at a very low price. Good scenic location in the woods behind her home. When she says the place is primitive, it’s not exaggeration. There is no electricity, plumbing or air conditioning in it, so make sure you know that before booking. I had no issue with it, and it was actually nice to have some simplicity.

Gerri's countryside cottage was just as described. I was in awe of the natural surroundings and the privacy of the cottage. I had the pool all to myself, which was very relaxing and just what I needed. If you enjoy walking, there are many areas on the estate to explore and enjoy the natural views. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, I highly recommend Gerri's cottage. You will not be disappointed. It's an outstanding Airbnb. I would return in a heartbeat.
