“If you want to stay in a quiet, light-filled, spacious, open-plan, well-appointed, sustainable, ultra-clean, modern, country-style cottage boasting panoramic views over the township, then book in to 5 Smith Street, Yea. (The photos are accurate and the description authentic). If you want to experience the joyous carolling of Magpies at dawn and dusk, the raucous calls and clownish behaviour of the Sulphur-crested Cockatoos during the day, and the distinctive, two-noted call of the Southern Boobook Owl in the evening, then book in to 5 Smith Street, Yea. If you want responsive, hospitable hosts, then book into 5 Smith Street, Yea. We highly recommend the property. We stayed over two nights in late September during our cycle along the rail trail. All in all, probably the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in! John and Jenny from Buninyong.”
Cheviot Glen Cottages (Cantray) is one of two on the property. It is a cosy country escape for couples with all the modern conveniences you need for a self-catering weekend or week stay. Our conscientious cleaning routine aims to allay current concerns. We pledged 20% of booking revenue to June to Bushfire Appeal. Explore, Experience, Enjoy.
“We are a family of 5 and use Airbnb as our go-to for any trips. Alison and Alister were the perfect hosts, probably the best we’ve ever had. We were doing the Great Vic Rail Trail and the property was just located off the rail trail which was convenient. Alison gave us home baked bread for our breakfast, a selection of home made jams, home made muffins, biscuits - all amazing! Alister gave us a lift to Yea and back and we were greeted with a jug of cool during when we arrived, hot and pretty exhausted after a day of riding in 30C heat. The reviews for the place and the hosts are spot on, book this place and you’ll be glad you did.”
