Holiday rentals with lake access in Chowan County

Frank and Martha’s place is super cute. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house has lots of open space and is a short drive to all the essentials. Frank’s and Martha were very communicative and accommodating leading up to my stay. Highly recommend!

David and Flanna were the ultimate hosts! They exhibited extraordinary hospitality, were so very helpful, and provided wonderful entertainment. David even went above and beyond by cooking a couple of wonderful meals for us! We enjoyed the extra care and attention during our extreme adventure during the snow storm. They were not just incredible hosts but they became our friends! Hope to be back sometime in the future.

Kristin is the best host and who knew she’s such a talented artist! Her lovely paintings added to the great atmosphere! We enjoyed our stay and spent 90% of our time on the balcony enjoying the view and Kristin’s beautiful landscaping. We needed a sanctuary for a getaway and found it. You won’t be disappointed!

My family and I truly enjoyed the peace, natural beauty, cleanliness, and comfort here. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house and property are beautiful. Walking outside to sit on the private pier was wonderful. Highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful, beautiful getaway in nature. Seems like an ideal place to fish and kayak, maybe next time!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The surrounding views were so beautiful and relaxing. Our 2 dogs enjoyed sniffing around the yards and exploring. Dog treats, bowls, and beds were provided which was a nice touch. We spent the days exploring Edenton and Elizabeth City, and we had cozy movie nights with their smart tv. Restaurants are at least 20 minutes away which wasn’t too bad. There’s a convenience store 5 minutes up the road that also does pizza orders. We tried it one night, and it was super good! We thought this was awesome because the house was in a pretty secluded but peaceful area. Thanks for a great weekend! Definitely made memories here to last a lifetime with my family and fur babies.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay after long days on bikes. We were in town for the NC Coastal ride. After riding for 30+ miles each day we came back to a tranquil location. The home is immaculate. Every item one would ever need was provided. It was perfect to have a full size fridge for our supplies. Beth even left firewood in case we wanted to enjoy the fire pit. We were able to stretch and get in a yoga session on the dock. Yoga mats were provided. The home feels like a ship in that it is surrounded by water. The waves and fresh air made for incredible sleep each night. An osprey nest is outside the window. With the binoculars we were able to watch the progress of the nest and the amazing pair catch fish. The communication throughout the stay was spot on. The “billion dollar” view is remarkable, but the amenities and care from the homeowner make this is top notch vacation spot.

This was just the getaway we needed. We were unfamiliar with the area, but wanted a quiet reprieve from the city that was near water and Nora and Alan's Airbnb provided on all fronts. Nestled right on the Albemarle, we could read and lounge with the sound of the water and birds as our backdrop. Up for some fun, we made good use of the bikes and kayaks during our stay. Fifteen minutes from nearby towns allowed for exploration of cultural and historical sites. A bit further away allows for daytrips to the Outerbanks and nature reserves. Ideally located to get up to as much or as little as your heart desires.
