Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. You might just sleep better than you have in years.

Country House on a Farm

Converted barn in 100 acres of land. A home from home crammed with books, games and toys. Easily accommodates at least 10 people comfortably. The garden, pond, woods and parking areas are all exclusively yours for the stay. We live up the lane from the barn. So you have privacy. We have chickens, ducks, Sheep and pigs on the farm. 5 mins drive from J28 of the M5. 20mins from Exeter centre. Not near any good beaches so don't choose us for a beach holiday. There is no spa or hot tub.

And Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, is just a 4 mile drive. A few days at Filcombe will leave you relaxed, refreshed and keen to come back!

Come and explore the outstanding countryside and Jurassic coastline or visit the many local towns-Sidmouth, Honiton, Lyme Regis or venture into Exeter for something to eat or drink. Exeter airport is a 30-minute drive away and Honiton has a train station with good links to Exeter and London.

The Annexe is a self-contained guest suite, with living room/diner, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, fully equipped, recently modernised and redecorated. Ideal for a couple or for a family with two small children as there is a double sofa-bed in the living room. Just outside the French doors is a patio with table and barbecue for summer dining. Beautiful seaside places are easily accessible; Sidmouth 5mls, Budleigh Salterton 6mls, Beer, Branscombe and Exmouth 10 mls. It's very quiet and the skies are dark at night.
