Enjoy the charm of our 1932 knotty pine beach cottage with gorgeous views of Salmon Creek meeting the Pacific Ocean. We are a short 5-minute walk to the beach. Bask in the fresh air and views of sand, surf and sunsets from the living room or back deck, or majestic mountains from the front porch. Our cottage offers comfort with a beachy feel. We take great care in the comfort and safety of our guests. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized per the California Guidelines after each guest.

The Beach House

This stunning house sits on a bluff directly above the ocean. Sit in the living room with a 180 degree view of the ocean, hear the waves as they roll in, watch birds of prey land on a cypress tree, and deer, foxes and other wildlife forage on the hill. Occasionally, see a whale or dolphin swimming off shore. At dusk, watch the sun set as you make dinner in the fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Later watch the moon and stars come out as you relax to the sound of the waves.

The Perch

Overlooking a fern grotto and redwood valley, The Perch, our newly renovated room lets you experience nature up close. Come unwind and luxuriate in nature. Limited cell service. The room INSIDE has a bed, toilet, sink, mini-fridge, microwave, and electric hot water kettle. OUTSIDE a claw foot tub/shower, private deck & outside kitchen with a gas burner stove. Very rural. This contemporary Frank Lloyd Wright-styled-like home sits on top of a hill with meadows below and towering redwoods that add to a peaceful seclusion getaway, and still only minutes from the hamlet of Occidental (1.3 miles). The pool is open during the summer months only (late May-end of September). The hot tub is on all year-round.
