This sweet, studio apartment features a large kitchen, with all the essentials. One bathroom and one comfy queen bed. This little gem is tucked away on a three acre parcel, in a quiet country setting, nestled on a tree studded hill. Nearby destinations include Yosemite National Park, Big Trees, Dodge Ridge, Columbia Historic State Park, Historic Downtown Sonora, Ironstone Vineyards, New Melones Lake, Pinecrest Lake, Moaning Cavern, Natural Bridges and other popular Gold Country destinations.
“This place is so inviting and cozy and quiet — the view (sunset) is amazing, I loved seeing deer in the yard in the morning. Sherry is really helpful and hospitable with anything you need or suggestions for local things to do (in my case, hiking). It’s a place you will enjoy hanging out in, and not just sleeping. The bed is super comfy, the towels thick and plush, Sherry left the heater on for me when I arrived which was really nice as it was a bit chill in the evening, though sunny and warm in the daytime. Plenty of hot water(!) Super clean. The kitchen has the basics for cooking, and there were a wee bit of condiments (salt, pepper, cooking spray, lime juice, catsup, mustard, hot pepper sauce), along with the usual tea/coffee/sweetener, so if you plan on cooking you may want to bring your own - or in a pinch, I’m sure Sherry could loan something. I am a water snob, so I always bring bottled water for drinking and making tea, I find that water tastes pretty minerally in places out in the country like this. I loved having a kitchen to prepare meals in. It’s close to Columbia and Sonora and all the things you can do, but wonderfully set apart up the hill in a quiet zone. Oh, and loved the farm fresh eggs (they have chickens). Nice touch. Also, Sherry is quick to respond to emails, and graciously flexed some on my checkout time because I was not feeling well. Very nice people, very nice place. Hope to come back and stay longer. Lots to do around there!”
Very private garden sanctuary setting on one acre of mature oak trees, native and medicinal plants; five minutes from downtown Sonora. Close to wineries, Dodge Ridge, Bear Valley, Yosemite, summer concerts at Ironstone and Westside Pavillion/Black Oak Casino, and many areas to hike and explore on the Hwy 120/108/4 corridors. Room is located downstairs with entry from rear of home. I live in the home full time primarily upstairs with my 19 year old son. Ample parking for large vehicles.
“From the back yard first enter your private bathroom, then come out from another door of the bathroom, Across the corridor carpet enter your room. Nice yard and you can do yuga in a big living room. The frig is in the garage with many stuff which is their extra refrigerator too. The window face to the front door but lower just higher than the ground. Small room with a microwave. The air condition is from the ceiling. I stayed one night then left because I prefer no air-conditioning in the room. I like to sleep with the window open so I can get frash air entire night.”

“Adorable! This little carriage house is perfect - clean, spacious, comfy bed, and beautiful bathroom with big walk-in shower. It was cold in Sonora, however this place was toasty warm! Super close to downtown Sonora, it was the perfect place for us to rest after a long day of hiking. Check-in was super easy, and the view of the garden was lovely. We will definitely be back!”
