Holiday rentals with a kayak in Darling Downs

The experience was even better than we expected. Complete privacy, river frontage was amazing, plenty of room for the kids to play around, fire under the stars. What more could you want.

This Airbnb was truly a dream! The place itself was quaint and stunning, with breathtaking views that made every morning feel like a postcard moment. (Norie even left a welcome postcard that we have kept) The space was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But what made it extra special was the host Norie absolutely lovely, warm, and incredibly attentive. On the second night it got cold and she checked on us to see if we needed more fire wood to keep us warm! So thoughtful making sure we had everything we needed, she went above and beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to come back! On the first night she let us feed the animals at feeding time, Norie was really supportive and tentative! I was scared to feed the animals and she made me feel at ease and confident! We live close in Ipswich and this is the perfect place to go, just to get away to the quiet when life gets too much! Absolutely loved it, we can’t wait to go again

This was our second stay at Anne and Russell’s place, and it was just as special as the first. We got engaged here on our first visit, and returned after our wedding for a peaceful mini-moon (our honeymoon will be later in the year). The space holds a lot of meaning for us, and it didn’t disappoint. We loved being able to wander the property, feed the horses and cows again, and soak in the quiet. The two border collies, Ted and Missy, were always nearby—eager to join us on our walks but respectful of our space when we wanted it. They really added to the warmth of the stay. Anne and Russell were once again incredibly welcoming and generous with their time, happy to chat and offer local recommendations. They’d recently finished some renovations and were excited to show us the updates, which we really appreciated. We’re so glad we returned—and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Our 2nd stay at the glorious Beaumont high country homestead and this mini break was just as good, if not better than we remembered. The homestead is the perfect spot to enjoy all that Chinghee Creek has to offer - rolling hills, friendly cattle, peace and quiet, and quality family time at its best. Our kids (10 & 13) spent their days exploring and battling each other at table tennis, and we all enjoyed reading, baking, and board games. Our hosts Claire and Rod were incredibly helpful and generous during our stay, inviting us to view some recently born calves at Christmas Creek. A five star rating doesn't seem enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Such a gorgeous place to stay, early mornings looking over the foggy garden are magical. Niki was super responsive and really flexible, such a great Airbnb

These cottages are so comfortable and better than you could imagine. The view when waking up and seeing the sunset from your deck, spa bath or bed whilst seeing local wildlife is the definition of relaxation. We particularly enjoyed the kayaking on the lake and feeding the horses carrots. Ashley has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and romantic, if that’s what you’re after. Thank you Ashley! We will definitely be back!

We stayed with our two littles (1.5 and almost 4) and had a great time. Georgina has kid friendly cutlery, a well thought out and supplied kitchen ready for use and we cooked most of our meals at the house. We spent a lot of our time down on the waterfront with the kids chasing soldier crabs, finding hermit crabs and jumping in puddles while hubby pumped for yabbies so he could go fishing. So many sand flies (comes with the territory) but the house is fully screened so once you’re inside it’s a-ok. We got over to feed the dolphins, amazing experience for all of us! If we come back to Tin Can Bay we’d definitely reach out to Georgina to see if her place is free.

Raylene’s place on the canals at Noosa Waters was the perfect place for our Easter family getaway. It’s incredibly spacious with multiple living spaces and large couches which made it very comfortable for our large family group. The location is excellent, handy to everything Noosa has to offer yet peaceful and serene. The house is fitted out with everything you need. It’s feels luxurious and special. Highly recommended!
