Holiday rentals with a kayak in Dauphin Island

This was our 2nd time staying here while visiting our college daughter. Beautiful place. Cozy and great for feeding and hanging out with family and friends. The neighborhood is peaceful. We enjoy taking walks. We caught the Blue Angels practicing and some dolphins swimming by!

When we first stumbled upon this house, it seemed almost too good to be true. But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Babbie was the most thoughtful, gracious host. She provided us with all the information we needed and showed us around. The house was just fabulous! The sunsets from the balcony were excellent and the location incredible. Babbie had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. She went above and beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable. It's easy to feel right at home here! We were a group of 6 and the house was perfect for all of us to sleep comfortably but still have our space. We were staying in Pensacola to visit my niece and this location was perfect so she can come back and forth from base to spend time with us. We loved how relaxing the space was, we really didn't have to leave. We mostly stayed in and enjoyed the MANY! amenities provided. The kitchen was well stocked too so cooking was easy. And nearby is a great Thai food restaurant (Thai Curry House) if you don't feel like cooking. We spent a lot of time out on the water in the kayaks, enjoyed the amazing massage chairs, and spent the evenings watching the gorgeous sunsets in the hot tub or on the pier. Being here makes you truly appreciate nature. The neighborhood is so quiet and safe. Dennis was such a gracious host and even let us extend our stay. He was also an excellent communicator, we felt very taken care of.

This home on the Gulf Shore was absolutely beautiful. Not only was it as pictured, but it was much larger and spacious. Brad was an excellent host, responsive and friendly and answered all our questions promptly. The home is well stocked with things to enjoy the bay and pool, there were even floats and life jackets for the kids to use in the pool. The pool was heated and the perfect temperature for us to enjoy. We loved the view from the porch! There were so many eating spaces to enjoy it from. The location is close to lots of local activities. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Toes in the water was lovely. The windows throughout the property all let in beautiful light and produce a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The balcony off the living space had great views - just like on the photos. There was tonnes of room for all seven of us - and yet we still felt like we were hanging out without being on top of each other. Would definitely recommend and will go back if we are in the area.

Serene and beautiful setting on bayou heron, which feeds directly into Perido Bay. Loved kayaking right from the property and seeing an abundance of wildlife from the dock - birds, fish, dolphins and an alligator! extra large family room and kitchen would work well for families. the hosts were super accommodating and flexible with the check in time which we really appreciated.

We spent 1-2hrs on the beach before we even entered the house! This location was perfect!! Close to NAS, 35 min from gulf shores beach for more great food options. The kids couldn’t wait to get in the water (and sand) everyday!

Linda’s Beach Cottage was perfect for our post Christmas getaway! The kitchen, dining area and living space were well appointed and comfortable. As well lots of comfortable outdoor seating options. The bedrooms and bathrooms all had been upgraded and the vibe was modern beachy😊 We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year.

This place was great! House was very clean and looked just like the pictures. The location was perfect with the bay access right behind the house and the beach access only a 2 minute walk across the street. The host was very responsive and answered any questions we had quickly. Overall it was fantastic!!

I would give Hideaway Hammock more stars if I could. Donna's place was PERFECT! the neighborhood is quiet and the property itself feels pretty secluded even from the neighborhood around it. the back yard is picturesque. The screened in back porch over looking the creek was truly my favorite place in the whole house. I was truly able to relax and unwind here in the mornings and between activities. They provided kayaks and paddles to use in the creek. On the inside of the house, it was clean, well stocked with everything we needed, homey without being cluttered, and had some great extras (very comfy reclining/vibrating chairs, an abundance of towels, linens, cookware and dishes). I've already looked at future dates for this property for our family, and I cannot recommend you choose this for your stay enough. You won't regret it.

We had a great time on our 6 day vacation at Mona's. The house was so cozy and also very clean. I really enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck and getting our daily visits from Hank and the other pups. One of the friendliest dogs I've ever met. We were just a short drive to the beach and got to bring home some shells. There were lots to do and see downtown and the restaurants were great. We plan on coming back next year. Absolutely loved this stay! The pictures do not do it justice, it was beautiful! The house smelled and looked great right when we stepped in. Meredith was such a great host! Super responsive before and throughout our stay! She went above and beyond for our stay this weekend! I would 100% book again! This stay was amazing and I was so sad to leave. Book here if you are thinking about it!!

Located by the magnolia River in the headwaters. We stayed in late March, which is peak azalea season. The neighborhood in bloom may be the most beautiful location I have ever stayed in. The house is great. It feels comfortable. It is private.

We visited during the week of New Year's knowing weather could be a 'wildcard' when we booked. So glad we did - we got lucky with seasonably warm weather. We enjoyed views of the bay from morning coffee to sunset cocktails, truly beautiful and peaceful. Our boys loved checking the crab trap multiple times a day and even landed a few. We would definitely visit again!

When we weren’t shopping in downtown Fairhope or eating at fantastic restaurants, we spent a lot of time at the boathouse just chilling. It was wonderful! This place was just what we were looking for - peace and quiet - and not too far from the few things we wanted to do.

We ended up in a situation with our dogs and the condo we were in. Wendy’s AIRbnb was located less than a mile away and they had a fenced in back yard! Our dogs loved their stay and the backyard and we enjoyed the quietness and privacy of the location. The house was very clean and everything we needed

The Rustic River Retreat was amazing, and beautiful. it was our first family trip as a blended family of 4 and boy did I make the right choice by booking this place! the river was beautiful, good spot for fishing for my sons and fiance and the place was all over fun! would 10/10 recommend! Definitely will be trying to come back in the future!

Wonderful pet friendly place to stay. Quiet and peaceful but close proximity to shopping, restaurants, etc.

Johns place was amazing! We caught some good fish off the pier and it was very private and quiet. Would definitely recommend it and we will be back😎

We enjoyed our stay at the Joe's fish camp and it was central to the events that we attended. The place was exactly as described. The enclosed back porch and dock were a great place to hangout and view the birds and wildlife in the area... very peaceful and quiet!

Sues place was wonderful , everything is well kept and clean ,location was close to everything, I will stay here again .

Stayed here while evacuating from Hurricane Milton. Check-In process was super straight forward, the hosts were very understanding of our situation and allowed us to check in early after we drove 8 hours from the Tampa area! The cabin was charming and relaxing. Good internet and environment to get some work done. Plenty of activities to do on-site. Great views of the water! We were even able to use the kayaks at the stay. The fishing was great too, we were able to catch over 45 fish in the 3 days we were there. While there was plenty of stuff to do on-site, everything you need is within 5-10. The beach and great restaurants are super close. Definitely will be coming back under different circumstances!
