Swordale is a small, quiet hamlet two miles up the hill from Evanton village. The house is actually part of a converted farm steading consisting of ten cottages, all made of natural stone. Ours is the only one fortunate enough to have a vaulted ceiling and Juliet balcony on the first floor, where the lounge is situated.
