The Winston is a beautiful old church in the retro town of Innisfail which we have been renovating for about a year. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town. The area has many attractions close by Paronella Park, Etty Bay where you will see cassowaries walking along the beach, Babinda Boulders, Josephine falls, the Mamu canopy walk, white water rafting in Tully and Mission beach just to name a few
“Loved this renovated church. It was full of quirky artwork and nic nacs. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. Also had a large living area, dining area and kitchen space. The table and chairs were lovely to sit at I the morning. Was a good base for one night to see Paronella Park and Innisfail. Saw lots of Cassowaries, Art Deco buildings and a lovely church before we had to move on.”
We offer a self catering, air conditioned, spacious, ground floor, studio apartment with kitchen facilities and toilet and shower. Own entrance, parking. 5 mins to CBD. Suit couple. We have cats and a dog and will accept pets on application. Innisfail is famous for its Art Deco architecture and has a beautiful river esplanade where the North & South Johnson rivers meet. There are lovely river walking paths. Close to tropical beaches eg Etty Bay, Kurramine and Mission Beach.
“Thanks to James’ local tips, we saw five Wallabies and a Cassowary in one morning! I really appreciated this as I hadn’t seen much wildlife in Australia until this point. As regards the listing - accurately described and spotlessly clean studio space underneath Helen and James’ house. You must have a car to stay here. Also, listen to the GPS instructions that Helen kindly provides, as Apple Maps navigates incorrectly towards the end (which isn’t anybody’s fault). We met one of their pups which was lovely, 12 months old! I should quickly add that there isn’t any Wifi for those that expect it.”
Bright, clean room available. Extra sleeping areas available if required. Enjoy scenic walk to Warrina Lakes. Plenty of bird life. 5 min walk from train station. Only a few minutes drive from town or catch the bus that passes by the front twice a day. Shared kitchen facilities available. Free tea and coffee.
“Great location, close to town. Room very clean and your own little private area to stay in. Bedroom very cosy, and the street she lives on isn't too busy either. Paula is so lovely and always quick to reply to messages prior to arrival.”
