Welcome to our Kate in Mönkebude – Mönke's Kate and Meer – at the Szczecin Lagoon of the Baltic Sea Our monument-protected Kate by the sea is at your disposal for your relaxation. The Kate was built about 1850 as an extension for the former large barn house of a fishing family of Mönkebude and used for living until about 1982. Today, our guests recover between the old half-timbered walls made of bricks, clay plastered walls and under the beautiful Reeth roof on about 80 square meters of living space.

We rebuilt the old clay frameworks, uncovered the ancient floorboards and only the finest clay paint was used on the walls. The hideaway is rounded off by a small cast iron fireplace for the evenings and a private sauna on the edge of the field... We love children 🧡🌟 4 cats and 1 dog live on the farm ;-)

The listed half-timbered house on the coast of Western Pomerania was inhabited by the local miller in 1830. It had many faces until a lover renovated it from 2001-2005. He attached great importance to the original materials in order to restore the original appearance. At the same time, he equipped the house with wall and floor heating, a sauna, Wi-Fi and satellite TV. In the "Müllerhaus," he combined historical ambience with modern living comfort.
