Holiday rentals in El Francés

Milargos et son mari nous ont accueillis avec une infinie gentillesse. La chambre (très grande) et la salle de bain sont très, très propres. Elle se trouve dans un magnifique jardin fleuri. Le souper que Milargos a préparé pour nous (ropa vieja délicieuse 😋) et le petit déjeuner (délicieux aussi) ont été pris dans le jardin, à couvert. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette famille et cet endroit.

Endroit magnifique, accueil attentionné, cascade à voir absolument à proximité. Parfait pour une étape entre La Havane et Puerto Esperanza.

As usual, the house is in immaculate condition as usual, as described in the ad and for what you’re getting for the price unbeatable and it’s not my first time, I’ve stayed there, and I will be definitely renting in the future again I would like to say thank you to Marily and her husband Paul. Thank you for the great accommodations .

We really enjoyed staying at Casa Yumi! It was one of our favorite places in all of Cuba. Pictures can not convey the loveliness of the room, which was so well constructed, with hand crafted wooden cabinets and furniture and windows all around to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. It had a comfortable bed, a well woking air conditioner and a really nice shower, everything needed for a comfortable stay. The food was delicious as well. Yusnelys was a wonderful cook. She made the best food of our whole three week trip. We were impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the care put in to every meal. One night we even had delicious pork which Hector had smoked himself. The whole family are warm and generous people. Do yourself a favor and stay with them. We cannot wait to return!

Really wonderful to stay here, a beautiful view and immersed in nature. Be warned that the fans won’t work if the power goes out, but there was a great breeze through the cottage at night, so that wasn’t an issue. Wanda was an amazing host,really appreciated how communicative she was.

This was a lovely place to stay! It is beautifully situated and easy to get to the village centre on foot. Mariano was a great communicator and was very helpful, flexible and friendly. He organised a fantastic birdwatching tour with a local artist and his wife cooked us lovely breakfasts and arranged reservations for us at a great vegetarian place in the village (El Romero). The room and bathroom are spacious and the front balcony provides excellent views of the mountains. The natural swimming pools are nearby too. We’d recommend here for Las Terrazas!

Aliuskas place is a bit of heaven on earth. Soroa is a less touristy place so in my opinion, worth visiting. I engaged the services of a local guide Alex Diaz who taught me about the birds, plants, history of the region. Aliuska was able to offer me both breakfast and dinner, the dinner was the best food I ate in Cuba. Simple, many vegetables, perfect. Their casa is next to a one room school for grades k-5. So, if you are inclined I would ask her if she needs anything for the children. I brought powdered milk for an activity she was doing to make hot chocolate for them. The power is not on 100% so bring a phone charger and flashlight. Also, mosquito repellant. I would 1000% recommend Aliuska’s casa as a way to experience the beauty of Cuba. And I am sure that she can curate any type of experience you are looking for.

The house was beautiful with plenty of property to explore and feel inside of nature. Jenny is a yoga instructor and we even had a private yoga session in the morning, while they served us coffee and tea from their garden. They provided us with dinner one night, when we requested it. They have a neighbor who has a horse that brought us in carriage to eat dinner. The house is decorated with all hand-made art from family and friends. We were very close to the Salto Cascada de Arcoiris and el Avioncito for hiking and being in the waterfalls. Perfect for if you want to get into nature and disconnect!
