The Hidden Cottage! A DIY Cabin in the Countryside

We had a wonderful 2 nights at the cabin and wished we could have stayed longer! The place is very charming and cozy and we felt right at home. The area is beautiful and it is just the right place to get away from the stress of the big city. It is also a great spot to go on a hike to the Pellumbas cave. We had two mostly rainy days here but couldn’t think of a nicer place to spend them. Cozy raindrop soundscape on the roof included. The restaurant owner if the Pasha restaurant was really friendly and accommodating, food was simple and very delicious, especially after a hike. Daniela was always approachable via text and always there to help us out, and her husband fetched us at the village entrance and brought us up to the cabin. Both were incredibly nice and welcoming. Overall, my favorite stay in Albania by far and would be happy to return some other time!

We had a little trouble finding the accommodation because the building is a little back from the street but Saimir came to wait for us on the avenue! The stairwell is not very engaging but once climbed the four floors, the apartment is good:spacious,bright and clean. Maybe a little expensive for a city that is not very touristy. It is however very lively and we enjoyed the nice little ethnographic museum and very cheap! Saimir allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment to visit the city, that was nice of him! In a word, a rather successful stop between Berrat and Korça!

We had an amazing stay at this charming house! The hosts were incredibly friendly. They even served us traditional, home-cooked meals from time to time, which was a lovely touch and a real highlight of our experience. Communication was easy, with messages being responded to almost immediately. The house itself is full of character, decorated with great attention to detail, and reflects the local traditions beautifully. While the house is fully equipped with everything you might need, it’s worth noting that the style is rustic, minimalist, and lacks luxury. For those who appreciate simple, traditional living and don't expect a 5-star-accommodation, this is a good fit. In the winter, the lower floor can be chilly, as it’s heated by a wood stove, which requires some time and attention to get the house warm. However, the upper floor is equipped with an electric heater/AC, which worked well. Overall, it’s a wonderful, authentic place to stay with truly exceptional hosts!

This is the last Airbnb we stayed during our recent trip and I am grateful we chose this place to end the trip! It is beautiful, spacious and clean, certainly above my expectations and among one of the best we stayed. It is near city center with restaurants and attractions nearby. More impressively is Fabiana’s hospitality. She communicates proactively, made suggestions and helped us with parking. We felt at home, in particular I enjoyed the comfortable bed and crispy clean sheets. Thanks for the great experience!

We stopped here between Macedonia from Montenegro. It is inside the main road and if you do not have a vehicle, it is not possible to go....But when you go, a great view is very beautiful nature and a friendly family will meet you. Breakfast Included in the price and besides that you can order a nice meal prepared with fresh vegetables for a reasonable cost. All the vegetables and fruits eaten here are vegetables and fruits grown by them... You can pick a tomato from the branch or eat grapes.. they allow it and these make this place special. We were very satisfied as a family. It is worth relaxing in the mountains and going for a nice experience. If we had time, we would have stayed for a few more days.Thank you Neo 🙏❤️

A stay like friends; we slept in the super cozy little cabin just a short walk from the main house where Andrina and Ziv live and cooked for us. There we ate their delicious vegetarian dishes and chatted nicely with them. The food is super tasty, the water comes fresh from the mountains, and the mountains themselves offer hikes overlooking the valleys and back in history through the small bunkers from the Albanian Hoxha era that cross the hills. The roads over the mountains there are sometimes challenging – with narrow sections, sharp curves and wild overtaking of the Albanian Mercedese.. So plan enough time for arrival, it is absolutely worth the effort!
