Cottage holiday rentals in Ellesmere

Was very inspired sitting in the garden. Even woke in the morning and sat in the. Window ledge with the window slightly open and took in the view and the sound of the water. Sitting in the garden and listening to the birds. Exploring the grounds. Even taking a cold plunge / shower in the waterfall beneath the bridge. Felt very inspired. The cottage was warm. Cosy. The only down side… we had to leave the next day. Definitely returning and I’m going to book my parents a stay there too. They would love it.

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

Great small touches lovely fresh eggs, bread, butter, wine and even supplied some baby food for our grandson. Very friendly and thoughtful, responsive to requests. We also met Luke who kindly lit us a fire in the evenings. Lovely Airbnb comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. Would recommend.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The one-bedroom space was incredibly spacious and well laid out, with a super comfy bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! The private garden was huge and perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub—it felt like our own little retreat. The area is peaceful and quiet, which made the whole stay even more relaxing. Highly recommend for a cosy, private getaway!

I booked on Friday afternoon and arrived on Saturday, so was all very last minute, Liz kept in touch and met us there to show us around. Place is very dog friendly. Liz also checked in with us during our stay to see if all was ok. We went for lovely walks and spent time in the spa to relax in the evening, just what we all needed, will be recommending to my friends and family 10/10 many thanks 😊

We had the most wonderful stay at the cottage. Jan and her husband were so kind, friendly and welcoming. The check in process was super easy and we were given a lovely tour of the cottage and all the facilities. The garden was secure which was great for our dogs. The cottage was super clear and the beds were very comfy. The hot tub was amazing! And the views all around the cottage were breathtaking. There was a really helpful guide in the cottage filled with local recommendations which we found really helpful. My cousin was planning to come visit us whilst we stayed at the cottage in her small camper van, Jan was so kind and allowed her to park in their yard so she could be close to us instead of having to park at a campsite. Their kindness blew us away!

We absolutely loved our stay at the enchanting cottage. It was very peaceful and situated in beautiful surroundings. We were delighted by the accommodation, and with four of us, we felt there was plenty of room. One minor issue we encountered was that the WiFi password was slightly confusing, and the postcode led us to a different location, which caused a bit of confusion. The description 'fourth house down on the right' was confusing; maybe 'the large red house' would have been more useful. However, the pictures showing the house and the location of the car park were very helpful in finding the house. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We are incredibly grateful for your wonderful hospitality. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cute and peaceful stay.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed for our stay in the middle of peaceful village! Emma was a very responsive, helpful and friendly host. Recommend this place!

Karl was a great host and responded very quickly. He was waiting to meet us when we arrived, very welcoming and showed us around and how everything worked. House was great and surprisingly big, much more spacious than the pictures do it justice! Had everything inside that we needed and was very quiet and private. Garden is secure unless, like my dog, they're keen to jump fences!! Beds were super comfy and we got a great night sleep every night. Loads of walking nearby and a great base to explore the Elan Valley and local town, both of which are lovely. Thank you very much, we were sad to leave as we had a great time!

We had a fantastic stay! The property is dog-friendly, which was perfect for us-our dog loved pottering around the secure garden, and we felt totally at ease knowing he was safe. The views from every window are absolutely stunning, and the whole place was spotless, cosy, and very comfortable. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were such a thoughtful touch and made us feel right at home. Emma is an amazing host. Highly recommend this gem of a place!

A cosy cottage in a peaceful location yet close to the High St and local anenities. A great base for a a walking holiday in the beautiful Shropshire Hills with the added bonus of a sunny courtyard garden to relax in afterwards.

What a perfect stay! Jo’s place was lovely, it had everything you could need. Was quiet, peaceful, exactly as described. Jo’s guide to the place was so thorough and very helpful. We went on some lovely walks in the area - great location, can get to some really great spots without driving. Will come again :)

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. It was well equipped. Great location with lots to do. Enjoyed a good curry at Village Spice in Corwen and walks around Llangollen.

We absolutely loved our stay with Ruth. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy and has all the amenities you could need or want, but if you were missing something, I’m sure Ruth would get it for you! She and her husband were very friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. She gave us great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. We feel like we’ve made lifelong friends and we definitely plan to come back!

We loved staying in this idyllic location. The garden was great for the dogs to run around in and we got to go on walks in the peak district. Judy is so lovely and the place was spotless. We would love to come again.

Beautifully decorated cottage, which was immaculately clean on arrival. We’d been left groceries including local bread, milk, butter, eggs and a chocolate bunny as it was Easter, which was really thoughtful. The beds were made ready and there were plenty of towels. Lots of thoughtful extras including coffee, a cafetière, toiletries, also laundry and dishwasher tablets were included. The cottage is in a lovely location, just outside the village and surrounded by countryside. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Niall was very friendly and communicated well about check-in.

A lovely spacious cottage in a tranquil location. Great for exploring the local area, would recommend.

A perfect place for those seeking a tranquil get away together. The cottage had everything you could want including a huge bath! You had but to open the bedroom curtains to have a unfettered view of the river, and nature, with a private area both out the back and down by the river side to enjoy it even further. There are plenty of walks and things to see & do locally too. Hannah was a wonderfully responsive host. We hope to stay again soon!
