A really great little apartment. Very lovingly decorated and very clean. Saevar welcomed us warmly and also said goodbye. Unfortunately, we were only guests for a short time, but felt very comfortable and would definitely come back again.

The beds are wonderfully cozy, the place is very clean. Great views of the beach and the mountains.

A computer glitch deleted our original pre-paid booking at a place which we reserved 5 months prior in Blönduós, and we were scrambling to find lodging. Fortunately, Gunnar was able to accommodate us last-minute at his recently renovated historical home in Sauðárkrókur. The kitchen has modern appliances and the twin mattresses were high quality and comfortable. The house is located walking distance from local restaurants and I enjoyed looking at the fjord from the windows.

You will feel like in your family home. The host is very helpfull and welcoming. 👍

The house is big and there are many beds. But, indeed you need to be aware of the stairs. The place is beautiful, a very good choice for a group of friends.

This was my favorite place among all the Airbnbs I stayed at in Iceland. The view from both the room and the living room was amazing, and the space felt very homey. There’s also a small room with a beautiful view that felt really romantic. If I ever come back to Iceland, I’d definitely stay here again!☺️

We had a great stay at Helga’s. We had everything that we needed. Helga gave us some great tips for things to do in the local area as well as further afield. The bonus was the northern light show that night.

Excellent farmhouse with every amenity you can think of. Clothes drying rack, mature kitchen for cooking. Beautiful views of Lake Myvatn. Clear instructions and easy to contact. Definitely recommend and will book again.
