“Teresa was a phenomenal host! From the time I booked my stay at Casa Mimosa (several months before my trip), Teresa had contacted me to welcome me and offer some suggestions regarding transportation to and within Monteleone d’Orvieto. As the trip got closer, she reached out again to confirm additional details and even offered to pick my friend and I up from the train station when we arrived- an offer we happily took her up on! When Teresa met us at the Fabro Ficulle train station, she was immediately very warm and welcoming. On our way to Casa Mimosa, she stopped off at a supermarket so that we could buy a few things for our stay and, upon arrival at her home, gave us a wonderful tour of the place and made herself readily available for any questions. Teresa made fresh bread for our arrival (which we devoured), along with fresh butter and homemade fig jam. She also had samplings of her homemade soap, body cream, and olive oil which we were ecstatic to use while we were there! All of her homemade products are top quality! Teresa was a joy to converse with! We loved hearing about her life and the experiences she has had since moving to Italy. We loved her dog, Penny, even though she was shy and not too keen on us. Just having a dog around lifted my spirits as I have been missing my own very much. The home is lovely and our short stay was the perfect rest towards the end of what has been a long and eventful trip around Europe. We loved relaxing underneath the trees in her yard and gazing out at the breathtaking view from The Little Olive Grove. I know this review is quite lengthy, so thanks for continuing to read if you’ve made it this far! I could go on about how wonderful our stay was and how highly we recommend spending your vacation at Casa Mimosa, but hopefully you will just see for yourself! :)”
Charming holiday home with independent garden and terrace situated in the small village of Castel di Fiori. Off the beaten track and surrounded by woods and nature the village enjoys easy access from the motorway exit of Fabro (12 km) and is ideal to explore the region: Orvieto, Todi, Assisi, Perugia, Lake Trasimeno, Siena, Arezzo, Pienza, Montepulciano etc.
“Located in the center of a little medieval village, this charming appartment with an independant entrance felt a bit like a house. It was convenient and confortable for our holidays. The terrace has a nice view on the country side, perfect for a dinner outside. A barbecue and deckchairs would have been perfect. We could feel the italian way of life, almost like being part of the village. Alexander was a good host, really nice and jovial. A good experience !”
