The modern cabin from 2022 is located in the beach zone at Herlandsneset at the end of Atløy in Askvoll Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane. The plot is sunny with panoramic sea views that can be enjoyed from the cabin's hot tub. There is a fabulous view from the cabin towards the island of Kinn in the northwest, a special brand and knowledge known as a sailing brand along the coast. To the south is the well-known viewpoint Brurastakken and the popular hiking island Alden also called Norske Hesten. With the cabin's motorboat you can go there and to Værlandet and Bulandet.

The old house at Solnes Gard

Part of duplex on active farm. We are the third generation to run the farm after my husband's grandparents got the farm as a wedding gift. Here you get to stay in the original farmhouse from about 1950. We live in the other part of the residence ourselves. Cozy place, fully furnished and with everything you need for shorter or longer stays. We have 8 alpacas and many goats on the farm, you can join in on the care on demand and if we have the opportunity in a busy everyday life when we are in full employment and have four small children.

The area is known for having a bustling boating life in the summer. There are many marked hiking trails in the surrounding area.

In summer, there are many great swimming areas nearby, including on the pier just below the cabin.

With the beautiful and mesmerizing western Norway nature with the fjord and the ocean only a few steps away, there is something about this place that will make you want to return again, and again. There are numerous hiking trails nearby and other amazing sightseeing oppurtunites such as the old Coastal Fort or the old Viking cross only 15 minutes away by car.
