Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. We have 2 min. to beautiful views of Kullen, the harbour and the coast, as well as 7 min. walk to the beach with a bridge, and thus ample opportunity for a morning dip! Follow the Fyrstien towards old Gilleleje, or in the opposite direction towards Nakkehoved Lighthouse, from where there is a breathtaking view. It is possible to borrow men's and women's bicycles, with gears. Older models!

This unique place has a style all its own. The house is built of solid timber that has been felled in Norway. The house oozes coziness and warmth and serves as a small oasis. The sleeping area is arranged on a mezzanine with a skylight window. Delicious materials have been used. Beautiful marble countertop in the kitchen and beautifully handmade dining table. Furniture is carefully selected with a focus on sustainability. Textiles in organic materials have been selected. The garden is large and beautiful and there is a very short distance to the sea.

Private entrance and private terrace with 6 seats. Barbecue is provided. Air conditioning is available. You pay extra for it when you use it (we will agree on this when you arrive). Gilleleje by har et livligt handelsstrøg, gode resturanter og et skønt havnemiljø. Huset har 6 sovepladser et soveværelse, en hems samt et anneks.

The Black Cottage + Orangery

Available from April 1. - October 31. The Black Cottage and orangery are parts of the historical place called Skippergaarden (Skipper´s Residence) Fabersvej 2c, in the old Gilleleje. Skipper´s Residence is built in 1797 with last remodeling done in 2003/4. The Black Cottage from 1892, when summer residents became popular. Last remodeling 2019/21. The orangery is from 2009. We have wi-fi and parking available.
