Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Follow the Fyrstien towards old Gilleleje, or in the opposite direction towards Nakkehoved Lighthouse, from where there is a breathtaking view. It is possible to borrow men's and women's bicycles, with gears. Older models!

This unique place has a style all its own. The house is built of solid timber that has been felled in Norway. The house oozes coziness and warmth and serves as a small oasis. The sleeping area is arranged on a mezzanine with a skylight window. Delicious materials have been used. Beautiful marble countertop in the kitchen and beautifully handmade dining table. Furniture is carefully selected with a focus on sustainability. Textiles in organic materials have been selected. The garden is large and beautiful and there is a very short distance to the sea.

The House is located on a 3.600 square meters plot, where the 2.000 square meters are beach and sea. The beach is private (though the public has access). But since it is private and there is no big parking lot you'll mostly have the beach to yourself!
