WELCOME to a stay in our beautiful apartment, which is located in the amazing nature, right up the forest and with several lakes in the area - including a short distance to Østre Søbad, where you can swim all year round. There is also a sauna in connection with the lake bath. We live in the middle of Søhøjlandet and have a 10-minute drive to Silkeborg city centre. There are 2 km to Pizzeria and shopping in Virklund. There is WiFi in the house, but no TV as we invite you to enjoy peace and good nature experiences. There is underfloor heating throughout the home.

From the apartment's own terrace, you can follow the life of the lake in a wealth of different birds, and everything from kayaks to ferries. Beautiful hiking, MTB trails, cycling From the cozy mountain town of Laven, the train runs in a short time to Ry, silkeborg, Sejs, Aarhus , the station is only 400 meters from the apartment. The home is part of a 3-wing farm with its own private and enclosed garden with adjoining terrace. The home is located in rural surroundings but at the same time close to shopping and Silkeborg city. The home is located right on the highway but has soundproofed windows. But noise from traffic is to be expected - especially on weekdays and at harvest time. There are 2 km to shopping and 7 km to Silkeborg city center. Everyone is welcome. Finally, ask for suggestions for hiking, activities or dining

Beautiful surroundings on a nature property

Newly renovated large and bright room on 1 floor with fantastic views (and with the possibility of 2 extra beds in addition to double bed) and newly renovated smaller room with vaulted ceilings on the ground floor - also with nice views and double bed. There is also a large living room with the possibility of "cinema" hygge with large canvas, a game of table football or just pure relaxation with a good book. The bathroom is on the ground floor. There is a nice sofa bed and good box mattresses.

Our 110m2 holiday house is located in Gjern Bakker and Landal Feriepark Søhøjlandet. From the living room you access to a large south-facing terrace, where you can turn on the Weber grill. Free access to all Landal facilities like water park, playgrounds (indoor and outdoor), tennis courts, sports hall for badminton, squash, ball court and more. Find outdoor activities like hiking and MTB routes just 100 meter from the house. If you enjoy golf you can try out the 18-hole golf course (paid)

Vidkærhøj

If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗
