Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Gladwin County

I was surprised to find that the Airbnb was an old schoolhouse. That was a very fun touch with historical pictures and paintings around the house. Lana left welcome cookies out, as well as popcorn and we loved the little coffee bar, the kitchen being stocked up with useful tools in general was very helpful for our stay as we have 3 young children. It was a very cute place to stay, our bed was comfy too! Overall it was well stocked, clean and Lana was very sweet. There were little thoughtful touches that made it a very memorable home away!

The host was friendly and responsive. The space was as described. It felt homey and it was clean. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed staying at Lisa’s home with our two dogs. Everything was clean and comfortable, the backyard was great for the dogs, and Lisa was a very communicative host with clear instructions and helpful tips about the neighborhood. Would gladly stay at her rental again and recommend it to anyone traveling with dogs.

Outstanding! Very clean. We clean up after ourselves so not getting slammed with a high house cleaning fee and other fees made this a great value for families. One of the best places we’ve ever rented and Becca was so nice to work with.

Charming home conveniently situated near downtown Midland. We enjoyed our stay here.

Rachel’s house was comfortable from the start. Everyone including the pets found the house to be fun. The children loved the ability to fish right from the pier and to get out on the water with the 3 waterboard choices. The fire pit was nicely located being right outside the back door instead of down by the water. We found the Harrison location to fun as well. We will be back to Rachel’s house and Harrison.

We loved the beautiful lake views and that we could bring our dog with us. Stargazing while enjoying s’mores at the fire pit was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was perfect for my needs but I was surprised at the cleaning deposit and then asking me to take care of dishes, towels, etc. That was my first Airbnb that took a cleaning fee and I unfortunately didn’t catch it until later. The front porch light was burned out and twice I had to catch myself from falling off. Also the road in was a mud pit — that was out of their control but a heads up perhaps?

This is the second time I've stayed. For personal reasons, I had to leave early, but the hosts were very gracious and kind. The house is great and comfortable as always. The host is always easy to reach and great to speak with. I hope to make more trips here in the future for some rest away from home!

This was by far one of the best Airbnbs that we’ve ever rented. Thomas and Karen were kind and excellent hosts - their response times were lightening-fast, they answered all of our questions before booking, and addressed any minor issues we had during our 2-month stay quickly. They even sent us a baby bath for our infant son! Their home is comfy, spacious, and fully-stocked with essentials, linens, DVDS, and games for a comfortable stay. The kitchen especially has everything you could possibly need! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Our dog had lots of room to run in the backyard and beyond in the lake bed. Even without the lake, the view is scenic and feels very private. Thomas and Karen were so welcoming — we highly recommend their home!

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend get away. The views were stunning as we sat by the fire pit outside. This space had plenty of room for the 6 of us. The game room was our favorite space to hang out in. We played pool and shuffle board. Rules, codes, and instructions were easy to find and clear. Plus the host's phone number if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Karly made us feel right at home. Her place was perfect for our Easter getaway. She made our trip extra special knowing how much this trip meant to me and my family. ❤️ we will be back.

Sarah's place was a dream. My husband and I stayed for my birthday weekend in April 2025 with our toddler and infant. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. We loved the huge kitchen with space to cook our own Easter meal, decorate eggs, and spread out all of our children's Easter goodies on the large dining table. The kitchen and living area are the best parts of the home -- spacious, clean, and free of clutter. We loved waking up each morning to the lake view along with the accessibility of the grill and hot tub just steps from the kitchen/dining/living area. Sarah was a proactive and welcoming host, and did everything she could to try to make it right when we found the coffeemaker missing (a previous guest had broken it, and it was being replaced). This is a remote location perfect for getting away from the city, but Tawas is a quick 30-40 minute drive away with a cute downtown, pier, and state park. We definitely felt rejuvenated after our stay -- thank you!!!

Enjoyed our stay, host was very helpful, easy to communicate with. Cabin is very cute, well done. For an inflatable, hot tub was surprisingly comfortable. Overall nice little place to stay, good value for the price :)

Had a a wonderful time here - Beautiful home, very clean and well stocked. The patio & backyard was perfect!

Wonderful place to stay, had a small issue of a blown fuse when we arrived but the host responded in less than 10 min and issue was resolved in under 15 min. hot tub was great and loved the extra bags and ball for our four legged companion. Would love to come back again!

The peoperty was remarkable and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen comes complete with everything you'd need. The beds and bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. Our party of six all gave it high marks. P.S. The sunsets were breathtaking.

This was our first time at StayDogRentals and we were pleasantly surprised. The house was clean and roomy as described. Nice coffee bar set up! Good location, close to downtown eating and shopping. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
