Stylish 2-bed Apartment Near Rhodes Old Town

BasalingappaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Nikolaos good host. His communication and pre arrival instructions are excellent. He helped us to book hassle free taxi from airport to address and back. Made our stay comfortable and even arranged renting a car. Provided us with lot of information about surrounding place. House itself comfortable, outside sitting place. Basic things available in kitchen like oil salt and some spices. Coffee tea making facilities including Greek coffee making pot with tasty Greek coffee powder! That was really fantastic. There was welcome fruit basket including biscuits kept on arrival. That is good touch. From Nikolas place Old town is within walking distance 15-20 min. Acropolis 15 min walk. Mini markets and very good bakery nearby. Overall we had very comfortable stay. Thanks Nikolaos

Villa Anna, Lourdas Beachside, Kefalonia Island

TashaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Lovely place, very clean and spacious. Great location- a few minutes to a beautiful beach. We stayed at the end of the Summer season so it was lovely and quiet and fortunately a few places were still open, there was a shop, restaurant and cafe all in walking distance. Great swimming pool too. Would definately recommend and would love to stay again.

Villa Nena - Holiday Home

Han&ErikaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were very hospitable received by mom Nena, what a lovely woman. The house is in a beautiful location, what a peace and space. The house has all the comforts and you quickly feel at home. The balcony is so large that you can look up both the sun and shade. On the 2nd day, Mom Nena surprised us with a delicious Greek dessert to taste: Halvah, really delicious! We highly recommend this location and would love to come back!

Private Villa / Panoramic view

CathyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Anastasios's home was comfortable, with exquisite views, safe parking, a short drive to Gythio town and a range of sights and restaurants, but also walking distance to 2 great tavernas in the local village. His restaurant recommendations and suggestions for things to do were excellent. We would definitely love to visit again.

Your guide to Greece

All About Greece

From the fragrant orange groves, dramatic mountain landscapes, and ancient monuments of the mainland to rugged pebble beaches, stone-built fishing villages, and island caves, Greece is a popular destination for a reason. At this birthplace of the Olympic games, you’ll find hallmarks of the country’s fascinating history at every turn. Make a trip to the ancient amphitheatre of Epidaurus on the Peloponnese peninsula, or look out over Athens from the world-famous Acropolis.

There are more than 200 islands to explore in Greece, from the traditional windmills and trailing vines of Mykonos to Santorini’s picturesque whitewashed buildings and ocean-blue rooftops. Greek cuisine blends hearty grilled meat dishes with salty olives and crumbly feta cheese, while sweet treats often feature glossy honey flavoured with local flora and crunchy chopped nuts.

Outdoors enthusiasts are spoiled for choice with 10 awe-inspiring national parks and two marine parks, while water sports and many of the islands’ excellent diving opportunities are a big draw.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Greece

The biggest event in the Greek calendar is Orthodox Easter. Join in the all-consuming celebrations and make sure you don’t leave before the days of feasting start. Be prepared for high temperatures at villas and apartments in Greece over the peak summer months — sunscreen and hats are vital. Once the summer visitors head home, coastal and island resorts in particular can see many restaurants and facilities shut down until the following spring, with November marking the start of stripped-back ferry services and snow a possibility on the mainland over the next few months. Sailing enthusiasts and visitors planning yacht trips will find the shoulder seasons most rewarding, with winds picking up over the summer and temperatures too low over the winter.

Top things to do in Greece

Syros

Hop on a ferry from Athens for a day, winding your way around Syros’ delightful alleyways. The remains of textile and granary stores hint at the island’s heritage, while birdsong, bougainvillea, and zigzagging butterflies fill the air. Look out for the messages Greek sailors once carved into the rocks.

Panta Vrexei

Winter rafting is popular at this deep canyon on the mainland. When the water level drops in warmer weather, visitors head here for its breathtaking rock formations and otherworldly waterfalls. Abundant flora, rugged cliff faces, and clear, shallow waters create a peaceful oasis.

Sifnos

Head to Sifnos hungry — you won’t regret it. Peruse the seafront eateries and settle down for a low-key feast of slowly roasted traditional fare. If you’re keen to recreate the experience when you’re back at home, visit one of the island’s potteries and pick up an earthenware pot. And don’t forget dessert — delicate almond is a popular flavour here.
