Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Unique and family-friendly summerhouse. The house consists of two bedrooms and a nice large kitchen/living room. The terrace is huge and surrounded by a fenced garden. The garden has more or less become a forest with paths that are regularly beaten. The house can be heated with fireplace, wood-burning stove and heat pump and there is both a washing machine and dishwasher. Arresø is a 5-minute walk from the summerhouse and 10 minutes away is Tinggården. The area is characterized by nature and summer houses. Lovely beaches within cycling distance.

The house has 2 good bedrooms, a completely refurbished bathroom and a large and cosy fully renovated kitchen/living room with fireplace. Sofa can also be converted to 2 sleeping places, if the need is 6 overnight. From two lovely wooden terraces and the large plot the sun can be enjoyed from early morning to late evening.

Trains & Buses to Copenhagen and the North coast are only a 5 min walk away. District towns, such as Gilleleje with a beach and a harbour with a cozy atmosphere. Larger towns such as Hillerød and Helsingør both with historical castles and shopping . If you would like a nice day trip it is possible to take the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg in Sweden.
