Isis and Juani were great hosts. Very friendly and helpful & both speak very good English. The place was always clean and tidy and is in a quiet place without much tourism but very close to the beach and close to a bus stop. There was nothing missing there, but you should be prepared for that there is no electricity most of the time. However, the essentials (light & possibility to charge mobile phone/power bank) are provided & those who can get involved will have a very nice, relaxed and relaxing time with Isis and Juani.

The place was great. Barbeque worked awesome, and they supplied the charcoal cheaply. Great view, clean place, huge and beautiful terrace. Top of mind should be that they don't get the same blackouts as most places in Cuba, and that alone would make this a place that should be on your list of considerations. They always get back to us right away if we texted them about anything. Very close to Varadero and MATANZAS, a walkable city full of culture you should also consider visiting. We will almost assuredly be back to visit again!

Clean and comfortable in a breathtakingly beautiful location right on the water. Our only complaint is that wifi was an extra charge of $3/hour and available as an all or nothing proposition. We would have liked to have been able to turn it on for a few hours rather than pay for the duration of the stay.

A beach house with two terraces ideal for relaxing after sightseeing throughout Cuba, especially for lovers of fishing or snorkeling. Sandy beach within walking distance, as well as two good restaurants. Slightly touristic and very quiet village. Yurien (the person who welcomes us and brings us meals) is a lovely and very smiling person. Anne-Marie is very invested for her clients and very friendly, we can really count on her.

Odalys went over and beyond while hosting us for the portion of our first trip to Cuba that we stayed at her home. We were a little lost at first and she went out of her way to find us and help us to the house. The place was exceptionally clean and she had water for a good price and coffee etc. House super central to beach and restaurants. Recommended good places to eat and assisted us with everything right away. Would stay again and would recommend

This guy single handedly saved our last 3 days in Cuba with his solarpanels during the nation wide blackout. (This way we manage to check in for our flights) We never planned on visiting Matanzas, but boy, Alay made it very interesting with his background in tourism. Highly recommended!

We stayed 6 days at the place offered by Madonna and Dannis . A little piece of paradise by the water. The accommodation is equipped, clean comfortable, ideally located in the village of Boca Camarioca. Dannis, our host was respectful, discreet, smiling, attentive and available to our requests. Breakfasts are hearty and gourmet. the accommodation is close to restaurants and camarioca beach. You can get everywhere on foot. We recommend a💯/💯.

The house is in front of the ocean. The house is beautiful and there is everything you need. There is a dish washer and a washing machine. The village is very quiet with very friendly people. Sometimes there is no light and internet, but there is always the 220v electricity. There are bicycles and a sap-board. Nearby are a market and bakery. Thank you very much for a taxi and a mobile phone. We liked everything and hope to come back.

Beautiful Sunrise... Sleep & Breakfast

I came to this area to dive and that was my only reason. So on that note , staying in Matanzas would have been the most sensible given what I know now. Thankfully, the property is just outside what I will refer to as the tourist economics zone. Euro / USD or credit card at the government rate of exchange but just over the bridge local prices in local currency and in line with what I have experienced elsewhere. For this reason my stay with this family was perfect. King size bed , loads of storage good bathroom, easy access to the beach and local restaurants that charge in local currency. Would advise to take breakfast there as I didn’t find anything that came close for the price and quality of the breakfast. The wifi was the only problem and useable from the common area downstairs which was inconvenient. At the time of writing , I was only allowed to buy 3 x 1hr cards from the offical outlet … again something not experienced elsewhere. For a shirt beach break - perfecto.
