Welcome to Orchard cottage, a single storey building, annexed to ( but separate from ) our house. The cottage is furnished to a high standard. We are situated on the outskirts of a private residential area, just 400 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Welshpool, there are various shops, supermarkets, pubs & restaurants. The magnificent Powis castle is a short walk from the town centre, through the beautiful parkland. Other attractions include Montgomery canal & light railway.

Lake Farm Shepherds Hut, Self Catering & hot tub

Our beautiful Black Mountain shepherds hut and undercover hot tub is perched above our wildlife pond, with views over the Welsh hills. It includes double bed, en suite shower room, and for romantic evenings why not light the little hobbit stove. Adjacent to the hut is a charming boathouse, which houses the self catering facilities. Our boathouse opens up to appreciate the views & great outdoors or can be closed up for cosy times by the log burner. Check in is from 4pm Check out is 10.30am

The Garage, perfect couples retreat! Dog friendly

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene place. The Garage, the perfect place for any couple to hide away together for some much needed rest & recuperation. This newly renovated garage annexe is the most perfect place for any couple to spend a few days away. With views of neighbouring fields and hills these can really be admired from the property's own private hot tub. Soak away your stay from here with a glass of bubbly or two! Cook up a storm in the kitchen and relax by the fire.

Elevated Quirky Cabin over River

This romantic tree cabin is located on the edge of a tranquil woodland at the bottom of a beautiful privately owned 5 acre garden, overlooking a hypnotic river waterfall. This majestic retreat is where you can unwind, relax and recharge, with full access to the BBQ area and on site sauna. If sitting back is not for you there are several local country walks and attractions. By car Wrexham is just 5 minutes away, Chester 25 minutes and if you fancy a day in Liverpool, it’s only an hour away.

Red House Cottage (self catering cottage)

Modern, very comfortable and very clean. Sleeps 4, double ensuite room and double/twin room also ensuite. Outside area, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. In a quiet village setting with two pubs serving food within a two minutes walk of the cottage. Free wifi, smart TV’s in bedrooms. Until recently Red House Cottage was run as a B&B but the owners decided to fit a kitchen to create a self contained cottage for self catering holidays. The cottage is on the side of our home.

Fox Cottage, Goetre Hall, Meifod Mid Wales

Goetre Hall is nestled in the heart of the beautiful rolling Welsh countryside near the Shropshire borders, on the outskirts of the small village of Meifod. Fox Cottage is on the left hand side of the photograph. Hare Cottage is on the right. The footpaths on our doorstep give you an excellent opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the rolling hills and valleys. This will be appreciated by any four-legged friends that accompany you on your holiday as our cottages are dog friendly.

Stabal y Nant

Located amongst the picturesque Mid Wales countryside, just northwest of Welshpool, Stabal y Nant Cottage offers a charming and luxurious holiday retreat for up to 4 people, with a cosy living room and kitchen area downstairs, and double bedroom and twin beds upstairs. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings on our outdoor BBQ decking area, by the pond and stream below or on a nearby walk. Stabal y Nant is also close to several popular attractions including Powis Castle and Lake Vyrnwy.

Secluded forester’s cottage with modern comforts

Hollybush Cottage is full of character with a garden and stream. It is surrounded by woodland and is 100m from Offa’s Dyke path with access to miles of beautiful walks, ideal for anyone wanting to explore Shropshire and mid Wales. It Sleeps 4, there is a kingsize bed and two singles in the second bedroom. Recently refurbished throughout with a new fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The sitting room has a log burner and QLED TV. Super fast fibre broadband throughout.

Ysgubor Lodge

Ysgubor Lodge is a unique property nestled in the woods, with a balcony all the way around it so you can sit out and enjoy the environment. It is complete with a bathroom, one double room and one room with 2 single beds, a living room and kitchen. It is heated with a log stove , and fire wood is provided. There is a TV but no signal, but there are plenty of DVDs to watch . Download music if you want to listen to it on bluetooth speaker.

Our accommodation is perfect for single travellers, couples or a small group of friends wishing to explore the area. Perfect location for walking Offas Dyke. The canal path runs 200 yards away. Snowdon is about 90 mins drive away.
