Cottage holiday rentals in Guimarães

This house is in the most STUNNING location with AMAZING views. We arrived early hours and Tiago was more than helpful at this time. We were told of the house’s rich religious history which is reflected in the artwork and decor of the house. 7 of us stayed for 8 days 2 couples and 3 teens More than enough space for everyone to have their own privacy and more than enough room for 10 people. The grounds had fig, Apple and lemon trees which we were told we are more than welcome to use. Aldi and Lidl were a 15 minute drive (we rented a car) which was perfect for evening barbecues (huge wood oven outside as well as small grills) The pool was stunning, we spent most days in there from morning till night. It’s a great size and easy to shade with umbrellas if needed. We left our inflatables there for the next person, which someone had also done before we arrived, which was a nice touch. We can’t thank Tiago enough for an amazing 8days. Will defo visit again

Silvio is gracious and friendly and the garden is beautiful. He left us fresh eggs one morning and we loved the hot tub. Definitely recommend Silvio’s place.

We had an exceptional stay! The hosts are a rare kindness, very caring and attentive: we feel that they put all their heart into welcoming their guests. The amenities are simply amazing: swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, weight room… everything is perfectly maintained and thought out for comfort. Excellent ! We had a pleasant and lively stay with 16 adults, Diogo was always there for us and kind, the setting was radiant, the maintenance of the premises is impeccable, we would do it again without hesitation! There are beautiful things to see in the surroundings, and shops nearby, the ocean about 1 hour drive away, the best. Thanks again to Diogo for his great kindness!

we were very nice the whole family a functional cute house the house owners live on and if you need them don't hesitate to help.te had the detail of leaving in the fridge a bottle of water and wine. if we ever come back in the area from catalunya we will definitely go,a pleasure to enjoy their place both good you could have a house like this,thanks

Our casita was Alambique, it perfectly matched the description, all the comforts in that; the bed is very comfortable; fireplace, toilet and a full bathroom, two TVs...the location is very nice and quiet. Definitely super recommended.

Impeccable villa! It was restored not too little time ago, it has great equipment and furniture in general. Very beautiful and well decorated. It is located in a village with very quiet. Highly recommended for family gatherings and rest periods. Helder was always communicative and helpful. We had a small setback and Helder was very attentive and agile in the resolution. We had the opportunity to meet him and it was very nice. Anyway, we spent great family moments at Casa Titos. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay here for 5 days. Helena was quick and responsive throughout. When I arrived, I met Paula, Sofia, Martinho and Francisco who welcomed and showed me the house and area. So generous to offer me a bottle of wine, water, biscuits on my arrival. The house is cozy and peaceful with a view of the farm where the sheep roam during the day. Comfortable bed, linen and beautiful antique decor to keep with the theme. Kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, microwave and stove. Beautiful spaces to walk and rest under fruit trees, 2 swimming pools in a peaceful natural setting. Even my cat, Samson enjoyed it. For company, we also had a cute friendly dog, Nina. It is a short drive to centre of Fafe, a lovely town with charming architecture. Helena provided useful recommendations on what to do and where to go. Guimaraes is a beautiful place, only 20 minutes from the house. All in all, a great stay and I'm happy to revisit one day again. Thanks for a great stay!

I had a wonderful stay in this cozy stone house. The atmosphere is super quiet, ideal for those looking for rest in the midst of nature, and the house was impeccably clean and well-equipped. The hostess Célia was extremely friendly and attentive, received us with great cordiality and shared great tips for tours around the region. In addition, it was always available for any support we needed. I highly recommend and would definitely return!

The house is very clean and beautiful but we thought the hosts were the best part of our stay. We have heard a lot about the area and history of the area. They are very nice and welcoming. The pool is beautiful too! I can't think of anything negative at all. Perfect!

Set in the grounds of the former family vineyard this stone property is even nicer than the photographs show and shares access to extensive grounds with a wide-ranging viewpoint over the village and beyond. A lovely outdoor eating terrace and private garden. The bed was very comfortable and the interior full of charm. José & his sister Ligia were extremely welcoming, kind and generous hosts. Very responsive to any queries; giving very useful local information. We hope to return again.

Everything was very good, Teresa attended us very kindly, we also met her family, we ate and dine one day with them and the treatment we had was great, for which we are very grateful. As for the apartment, very nice and comfortable, with all kinds of details both in the kitchen and bathroom, we do not miss anything. It is possible to park the vehicle on the lot itself. We can only say that this is a highly recommended accommodation and we would gladly repeat.

There aren’t enough words to express our experience at Casa Marigaridi. The estate is breathtaking and we arrived around sunset! It was like going back in time and entering a fairytale book. From the pristine grounds, to the >1000 year old estate, to the immaculate prize winning gardens, and the amazing views. But then you add Toni and Hugo and property history and it’s just perfect. The attention to detail and the personal welcome was unmatched. The unit we stayed at was ideal for our family. A 2 story lil cottage decorated in very cozy yet authentic furnishings. The lil window in the kitchen inspired one of our daughters to bake cookies and she enjoyed all the birds chirping right outside the window. The evening treat we were offered were delightful and the fresh 8am bread were just wonderful. Besides all this, the fridge is filled with local favorites and breakfast items. If you are looking for a central location in Guimaraes look no further!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The outside area was absolutely fabulous and the house was kitted with everything we needed to have a really fun and relaxing holiday. Raul was extremely welcoming providing our daughter with a crib last minute and gave us local recommendations that were great. We would absolutely love to return!
