La Douane cottage

Once a Belgian customs post, this long-abandoned site has been completely renovated with care and respect for its original architecture, to become a contemporary, bright and comfortable gîte in the heart of the countryside. It provides a unique setting in which to recharge, breathe, and reconnect with what is most important. A unique place steeped in history, just 100 metres from the French border, situated on an ancient Roman road and at the heart of an area marked by the Battle of Malplaquet.

Beautiful industrial loft totaly restaured. Located in our house, the loft is completely private, you share the entrance hall and the backyard with us. The loft features 1 kitchen 1 huge bedroom with a 1m80 width bed and a mezzanine with the sitting-room view. There is a also a cosy reading corner and a beautiful brand new bathroom with an italian shower. 65 square meters in total with air conditioning. Access to the jacuzzi is optional for 20€ bathrobes included.

In an old barn and its adjoining dairy, we have tastefully furnished a 40 m2 accommodation for 2 people. The "Factory" suite will transport you to an industrial world, combining shades of gray, the charm of metal, the authenticity of brick and antique objects, but also the chic of a modern gray and sand kitchen. Located on the site of an old mill in a 2.5-hectare park crossed by the river "La petite Honnelles", the Cottage Sous le Cerisier will allow you to recharge your batteries with complete peace of mind. Around the pond, you can watch, quietly seated by the water, dragonflies, kingfishers, water chickens... If the weather is not great, our cottage will be the perfect place to rest in peace in a cozy and soothing cocoon

The small house

Located 500m from the D649 road and at the entrance of the Avesnois Regional Park, the accommodation offers all the amenities for a pleasant time. You will be in 5 minutes in Maubeuge, 20 mins in Mons and Valenciennes, 45 mins from Lille and 1 hour from Brussels. A parking space is available in front of the property as well as the possibility to store bikes in our garage.
