The main house has two rooms and an indoor kitchen with an island, so you can cook and enjoy your meals, or you can have tea or a light drink in the quiet thatched cottage. There is also a warm guddle room for you to experience. The lower floor has one room and an en-suite bathroom. The upper and lower units are separate, so you can stay with friends. A barbecue is also possible if you wish. At the edge of the village, with a forest garden-like feeling, Namsan Mountain seen from the large window indoors, Mueungwangneung Royal Tombs that seems to be captured on a wide deck, a cool hanok view from a low wall, and a path behind the house where you can take a light walk along the Osulloc promenade, all in harmony with the sound of birds all day long, I think it is the best resting place away from the busy daily life. Spacious parking, in-house kitchen amenities, and separate barbecue facilities provide convenience and enjoyment to guests. In particular, the transportation is convenient with the city permit, and the tourist route is close, so it will be satisfactory as a base for a pleasant trip.

El Hanok Stay

El Hanok Stay was newly built as a private hanok guesthouse, which was opened in April 2023 after a year of remodeling construction by purchasing a 1975 house in May 2022. We tried to add more modern convenience while adding the style of hanok, and tried to add color by adding European style. It is located in the center of Hwangnidan-gil, and it is located near Hwangnidan-gil restaurants (next to Cheongonchae) and cafes (Olive), right next to the location where you can go to Gyeongju tourist attractions such as Daereungwon (Cheonmachong), Cheomseongdae, Donggung, and Wolji. Jacuzzi in Hanok is available for a fee. It is 30,000 KRW in Korean money when using for a fee.

Gyeongju Hwangnidan-gil Hanok Stay Shrub Hwangto Ondol Room

This room is located on the ground floor of a hanok building. Inside the room, there is a private bathroom with a shower, as well as air conditioning, a fridge, a hairdryer, towels, toiletries and free Wi-Fi. A light breakfast is served on weekends and public holidays. Daereungwon Park is laid out like a garden, allowing you to enjoy beautiful views. All bedding is always freshly replaced, and as it was my grandfather’s home, it’s lovingly maintained and kept clean. Unlike a typical Hanok village, this home is in a local Gyeongju neighborhood. Stay in a real Hanok and experience the authentic charm of Gyeongju! It will surely be a special experience. I can confidently say it will be special.
