Off-grid living, high in the Shropshire Hills

The Garden Room is a private, cosy, off-grid apartment that's perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic kitchen facilities along with a king size bed, a wood burning stove and a piping hot shower. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Lovely up here this time of year and plenty of wildlife to be seen; deer in the garden, swallows zooming about, the other morning I saw two hares leaping and sparring in the front yard - just great.

The site is just a five minutes' walk from the nearest drinking pub and five minutes' drive from Pontesbury and all its amenities. The Summerhouse Tower is a very special holiday-home-for-two set within the rolling Shropshire countryside. A Grade II listed tower, this unique, romantic retreat enjoys excellent views to the east, and views of the Shropshire Hills to the south and the west. The Tower, built circa 1607, was originally used as a banqueting house for entertaining dinner guests. Whilst the main house was destroyed by a fire, The Summer House is available for cosy stays throughout the year.
