Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes, which is located in Farsund municipality. Skipperhuset was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we work to make the house as authentic as possible, including by wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper's house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery, which has a renovated bakery oven.

The sauna located by the jetty can be ordered if desired. Free parking about 150 meters from the cabin. Nice fish in the water, no need for a fishing license.

The outdoor-toilet provides a 7-meter free-fall experience, and a cable car transports firewood up to the cabin. Brand-new seaside cabin with a large terrace

Enjoy a relaxing holiday with the whole family in our modern, high-standard cabin! This is our family cabin, which we use as often as we can, but we’re happy to share it when we’re not there. The cabin is spacious at 150 m², with four bedrooms and sleeping space for up to 11 guests—perfect for two families traveling together. In addition, a luxurious sauna with panoramic fjord and mountain views is scheduled for completion by spring/summer 2026. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!

Chicken house Lower Snartemo gard

You will stay in the immediate vicinity of Snartemobekken which is a side stream of the river Lygna where the salmon plays. Lower Snartemo is a old yard with a barn that is under restoration. On the farm there are traces of settlement from the pre-Roman Iron Age until our time. The famous Snartemo Sword is found only 200 meters away - in other words you live in the middle of history. Welcome to us! New functional house from 2024, with large windows, plenty of sun and beautiful views of the sea. Living room, dining area and kitchen in one room, 1 bathroom with shower and washing machine, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. Towels (1 big+1 small) and bedsheets are included in the price, and beds are made on arrival. 2 parking space. There is a large terrace facing west, otherwise some of the outdoor area is still under construction.

Fishing of trout in Myglevannet is free when you stay at this cottage. 60 minutes to Kristiansand.
