21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art 5-minute walk | Kanazawa night with a view of the Japanese garden

We opened a new location in July 2025. This accommodation is a private rental Japanese house limited to one group per day in Ibaraki-cho, the center of Kanazawa City. Originally built by a craftsman who was a shipwright, the house has meticulous woodwork and transom decorations, and the careful craftsmanship remains throughout. There are 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 9 people, making it perfect for families and group trips. The Japanese garden that can be seen from the veranda is popular with guests. You can enjoy the seasonal changes and relax with morning coffee or evening time. The location is also convenient, with the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art just a 5-minute walk away, and Kenrokuen, Kanazawa Castle, and Katamachi, Kanazawa's premier downtown area, are also within walking distance, so you won't have any trouble with sightseeing, dining, or nightlife. However, this house is an old house that has been built for many years. Unlike a hotel with the latest facilities, it is a nostalgic and tasteful space. There are some creaking sounds and quirks in the fixtures, but I hope you feel that this is one of the charms of this inn. The inn is also located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please be quiet at night to avoid disturbing the neighbors. I hope this inn will be a special place to remember your trip to Kanazawa. We look forward to your visit.

Self check-in. Stay in the Samurai Ruins area!

We renovated part of a house in Ichijodani to be exclusively for private lodging. It is conveniently located for walking around Ichinotani, with nearby Asaga Kasuga Shrine, which was the Asakura family's war victory prayer place, the Asakura family ruins of Shimosakado, the Asakura family ruins museum and JR Ichinotani station, the Asakura family ruins Karamon, and the restored street. There is a firefly spot nearby, and you can also find them on the premises. There is also good access to major tourist destinations in Fukui Prefecture, such as the Dinosaur Museum, Ski Jam Katsuyama, Eihei-ji Temple, Tojinbo, Shibamasa, and the Sand Dome. There are no restaurants, supermarkets, or drug stores nearby. The convenience store is also 2.5 km away. There is a moss garden on the premises and a lawn that is not well maintained, but if the timing is right, you can enjoy a private cherry blossom viewing and snow play on the premises. Because it is a rural area, there are insects and small animals around the facility and sometimes in the room. If you cannot tolerate encountering these, please refrain from booking. The capacity is 4 people, but it feels quite small for 4 adults. No smoking in the facility, including the toilet, bathroom, and under the kitchen ventilation fan. Please refrain from cooking outside the kitchen with a portable stove, etc. License number M180031406

A private rental traditional building by a photographer and architect/La Fotografia Marrone

Opened in July 2024. La Fotografia Marrone is conveniently located a 9-minute walk from Kanazawa Station and a 6-minute walk from Omicho Market, where buses leave for major tourist spots in Kanazawa. The building faces a quiet street lined with Kanazawa Machi-style houses, and you can see the largest temple in Kanazawa, Tozai-in Temple. The building consists of a traditional exterior and interior layout. In addition, in the "photography" section, which is also the theme of this accommodation, there is a photo exhibition by Japanese photographer "Kimura Katsuhiko IG @ kats_portraits". In addition, you can spend a relaxing time indoors listening to the music that Mr. Kimura selected to match the photos. To ensure guests have a relaxing stay, we have provided facilities such as a washing machine for cooking and medium-long stays, close to Omi Market. Going on a day trip is also one of the fun things about traveling, but I hope you can enjoy a relaxing stay.
