Beach and nature log cabin

A natural and relatively simple accommodation in a charming, timbered cottage on a forest and beach plot with access to lovely forest walks and swimming from the beach, cliffs and jetty. The cottage is located about 7 km from Västervik city center on a plot shared with our family (2 adults and 3 children aged 8-13 years) and our free-roaming dog. There is about 80 m of forest between the cottage and our house, so you live in relative seclusion with forest and sea bay as the nearest neighbor. At the same time, you pass our house on the way to the cottage and often meet up with the dog and host family who move around a lot on the property in the summers. You should appreciate nature and tranquility but you should not be afraid of people or dogs if you are going to enjoy yourself here :) The cottage is a simple timber cottage on 1 1/2 floors with a lot of charm and a lack of modernities in the form of TV. Here, the children can swim and play in the forest instead :) The property is a hilly forest plot, so unfortunately the accommodation is not very well adapted for disabled people. Pets are more than welcome as long as they work well with children and dogs. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to roam freely on the property if they get along well with our own farm dog :) Welcome to a relaxed and nature-oriented vacation at Västerbo!

Just a few minutes from the centre of Västervik lies the Gränsö Nature Reserve, a coastal peninsula where nature takes centre stage. Located in a quiet area, we rent out our guest house, which offers a partial view of the water and has nature as its closest neighbour. Here, you wake up to the sparkling sea and the chirping of birds, and fall asleep to the tranquillity of the forest. There are several bathing areas, and the nearest one can be found about one hundred and fifty metres from the guest house. You can set off on hiking trails right from your doorstep.

Nattstugan - charming accommodation by the church in Västervik

Stay in one of Västervik’s oldest wooden houses, right next to St Gertrude’s Church, which dates back to at least the early 18th century. Nattstugan is an accommodation that exudes historic charm. The old loft apartment was carefully renovated by an architectural firm in the 1960s. The location is both central and peaceful, just a stone’s throw from Storgatan and Stadsparken. The apartment can accommodate a family of up to four. In addition to a small kitchenette and bathroom, guests have access to a cosy stone-paved courtyard surrounded by the churchyard.

Stay in our charming little retro gem of 78 sqm with a large garden right next to Pelarne church. 5 min to Bullerbyn. 10 min (10 km) to Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren's World. The house has two bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and new bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine. Two double beds (one large, and one 140 cm wide) and one single bed (pull-out sofa in the dining room, for children or shorter adults). Guests clean themselves after their stay. Please bring your own towels and bedsheets.

Enjoy this unique house, built largely by hand, at the end of a road in the forests around Virserum. Nature invites you to long walks with fantastic views and nice paths. The house invites you to enjoy quiet, peaceful moments or to cook together by the stove, but also to lose yourself in a good book in one of the comfortable armchairs, or why not light a lovely fire in the stove in autumn and winter? Resource in our cozy cottage, furnished with an eye for warm colors and soft materials. Lilla Stugan is located in the middle of the woods and meadows and has its own bathing area, sauna and boat. It is part of an old Swedish farmhouse on a 10 hectare property located between the lakes Rummelsrum and Hyttegöl. Get to know the rich fauna and flora directly from the terrace or during long walks in the surrounding area. After a dip in the lake, enjoy a barbecue on the attractively lit terrace.
