Haugesund is located between Stavanger in the south (2 hours drive) and Bergen in the north (3 hours drive). From the cabin you have fantastic views of rough, untouched nature with heather, rocks and open sea. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

Gamlahuset by the sea - near Stavanger

"Gamlahuset" from around 1880 is rented out. The house is located on a small courtyard in Gardsvågen on Talgje, 100 meters from the lake. Here there is a beach, and there are hiking trails around almost the entire island. From Gardsvågen it is 1 km to the speedboat dock. From here it is 20-50 min by speedboat to Stavanger. It is 35 minutes by car to Stavanger city center. At Talgje there are also opportunities for frisbee golf and sauna rental (Anker Gaard) and there is a sand volleyball court 1 km from the house.

The micro cabin was completed in August 2023. It is 17.6 square meters. In the living room there are 5 seats and a chest of drawers with storage. The sofa can be turned into a double bed. The sleeping area is in the loft. There you lie under a skylight and can admire the starry sky and sea views if the weather is good. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and necessary kitchen utensils. The bathroom has a toilet, sink with mirror cabinet and shower.
