Holiday rentals with lake access in Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana

Rotorua has infinite activities from which to choose and the air BNB was the perfect place to take advantage of everything the town has to offer. you see the island in the Maori stories from every room and the deck. the kayaks are a huge treat. it was difficult eating out because the comfort and views from the deck and dining table can't be beat. we slept great, found everything we needed and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Amazing, breathtaking view. Best place for me and bridesmaids before went to my wedding at Don Rowland. The only downfall is that the dam was closed at the time, it would have been a 5 minute drive but had to go right around via motorway (20 min) but the house itself was well worth it! Had everything we needed and more!!! I would consider going again just for a normal weekend. The hosts were accommodating in every way, we had access to kayaks, best coffee machine, comfy couches and beds, clean showers, a nice bbq, beautiful flowers, awesome neighbours, parking for about 3 cars and extra blankets and towels. 10/10 from us!

Loved the quiet rural location that had great views and access to the Harbour. The house was a perfect size and layout, with 3 bdrms one end and master at other with communal living imbetween. Fab house length deck with a gorgeous Spa. Parking for several cars on the driveway and surrounding grass. Thoroughly recommend and would use again.

Lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the deck and view out over the lake and it was a very comfortable place to stay. Communication with Kylie was quick and easy.

I met Aimee and she was lovely and so gracious! She gave us great recommendations on what to do in town for the short duration we had. The place was a truly beautiful and peaceful oasis on the lake. Stunning views and gorgeous sunset. The place is gorgeous and the bed is so comfortable. This was one of the best places we stayed at. Thank you so much for hosting us. Five stars all around! :)

We love our stay in Huia's place. The house was immaculate with everything we needed for a comfortable stay for two adults and two children. It was very close to town and you could either walk or cycle and you can even see a little bit of the lake from the back of the house. The house had a lovely garden that attracted birds and sparked the curiosity of my children. There were also a nice selection of books and some games. Huia was a very good host and communication was great. I highly recommended it :).

Stuart's place is 100% in everyway. A well presented home, has a well equipped kitchen, it could use a fry pan lid. Think maybe the bbq isnt used much, was a bit rusty. This didnt change me wanting to give a five 5 star review. The deep bath is amazing. The view, the privacy, and the quite space, were amazing, it was a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. It was just what we were looking for. Wonderful host, friendly. Would re book if back his way again.

Had my parents stay over for a few weeks and they really enjoyed the unit. The house was fully equipped and felt very homey. It's located right in the CBD, so getting to places was just a short walk or drive away. A couple of things to note: light sleepers might be affected by the vibrations from passing trains in the evening, as there’s a railway down the street. The house is also right by a fairly busy road, so you might hear some traffic noise throughout the day. Additionally, all the bathrooms are located upstairs, which could be inconvenient for those with mobility issues. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay—especially for longer visits.

Susie's loft is spacious and comfortable, and only 5 mins walk away from the lake. Smooth check in and out. Would love to stay again!

Lovely unit with all you need… and more! Nice quiet location too. We made good use of the cooking facilities and washing machine. We were very lucky to be treated to some home baked muffins! What a treat!

And the electric blanket was a blessing.” - says mum If you’re looking for a comfortable resting place with tasteful decor, luxurious & unique additions like a towel warmer rack, homemade jams, Netflix on tv, extra pillows & cushions, actually nice smelling bathroom products, a cookie jar & coffee machine, fruit from the garden if you’re lucky, filtered spring water every day, and a little lovely breakfast bar, look no further than Janey’s place. So many extras I hadn’t expected, Janey went above and beyond to accommodate my mum and myself with such warmth & kindness. Oh did I mention the water view from the rooms? Spectacular. We stayed 4 nights and loved coming back to being able to have dinner at home, even with a kitchenette, some extra cooking appliances from Janey helped, she was just so thoughtful! Thank you Janey, you made our trip with your hospitality. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Addictive View & only wished we could have stayed longer! A beautiful peaceful location with a gorgeous view. The apartment had everything we could need & was very cosy & comfortable. We highly enjoyed just spending the nights in, enjoying the view & playing cards or reading. Highly recommend it.

The whole stay was amazing such lovely views and comphy accomodation. The lake views in the mornings were stunning . We enjoyed our barbecue meals and the children loved using the bikes thank you.

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

Lovely place close to the lake and a quick drive to Rotorua. The patio was super fun to hang out and we loved the outdoor shower. We liked staying here!

Our stay at Vicki's place was simply wonderful! The house is beautifully appointed, with a stylish and comfortable interior that made us feel right at home. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare our own meals, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Vicki was incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a seamless and enjoyable stay. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a tranquil and beautiful retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved the 2 living areas the boys played board games in the enclosed porch while my partner got some netflix in. We enjoyed cooking our pizzas in the Woodfire pizza oven. Gorgeous walk down to the river, lots to do nearby, and I got the best sleep in the comfy bed! Thank you very much.

Dan's place is just a piece of paradise! Right in front of the lake, with private jetty and private ramp, away from the main road, totally safe for children. Highly recommend! Dan is very responsive and welcoming, makes you feel like home. Looking forward to return again!
