'Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at.' Canadian guests, Sep, 2024. Our Lakeland Farmhouse, High Park in the English Lake District, is in the centre of a World Heritage Site. It was built in 1620, once owned by Beatrix Potter, surrounded by hills and trees, and with astounding views. At night, the silence is total. We offer a king-size double bed, satellite TV and WIFI, your own bathroom too with great water pressure and piping hot water. Plus your own downstairs sitting/dining room .

The house stands on its own in a rural setting and is close to the ferry for the Island of Kerrera. The view from the house is over looking the Sound of Kerrera with yachts, fishing boats and ferries passing by. It's two miles to Oban which has a large choice of places to eat. There is virtually no public transport to the house. Taxis are available from the railway station area in the town. Visitors are asked to arrive after 17.00 hours and on the morning of departure to leave by 10.00.
