In-law suite above the garage. Everything you need. Completely private.
“Great space in a beautiful location! Highly recommend. Sweet little touches. Ryan provides a basket full of small little things that are often forgotten such as lotion, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Very clean space! Our family and two pets fit perfectly, feeling right at home. Thank you so much for the stay!”
Our Inn is a national historical mansion built for Charles Cheney in the early 1800s. Was renovated in the 1870 by Charles Cheney son Frank after he inherited the mansion after his fathers passing. Frank was very good friends with Mark Twain. Frank modeled his renovations after Mark Twains mansion in Hartford. We are within walking distance to downtown Manchester. We have a variety of restaurants. There is a brewery that is a short walk down the back driveway.
“What an amazing house! Laura's husband met us when we checked in and gave us a tour and told us about the history of the house. Our guest suite was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is very true to the period yet functional to today's standard - example: old style sink with water pressure and temperature we expect today. We were only there to sleep so we didn't get to see much other than our tour. We did appreciate our breakfast, which we took to go.”
Literally steps from the UConn campus (park your car here and in 3 minutes walking you're at the center of campus!) and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Modest decor, lots of windows, lovely new floors and paint, full kitchen with new appliances, full bath, 2 bedrooms, eating area next to the kitchen, laundry center, access to picnic table outside, view of large back yard with gazebo.
“Everything was outstanding! The location was perfect. The best part was the gazebo that we utilized and enjoyed the perfect weather. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Storrs!”
