Create a strong password
Create a strong password
When it comes to creating a safe password, the more symbols and numbers, the better. Here’s how you can create a strong password that keeps your account secure. If you ever forget your password, you can always reset it.
Make your password unique
It’s best to make your Airbnb password different from the passwords you use for other websites, like your email, bank account or social media. That way, any security issues on those sites are less likely to affect your Airbnb account.
Do:
- Use a mix of letters, numbers and special characters (e.g.: #, $,!)
- Replace some of the letters with numbers and symbols
- For example, instead of the password “BackToBackChamps” try using “B@ck2B@ckChamp$”
Don’t:
- Use common words
- Use a combination of only words + digits (e.g.: dog1)
Tip: The longer your password is, the harder it may be to guess.
Use a password manager
If you find it tough to keep track of your passwords, try using a password manager. They’re great for storing and organising your passwords for each of your accounts online, so you don’t have to remember them all.
