Airbnb gift cards can be used to give the gift of travel or a one-of-a-kind experience or service. They can be purchased online or in stores.

Buying gift cards

You can get Airbnb gift cards in stores and online, or directly from us on Airbnb.com.

When you buy digital gift cards directly on Airbnb.com, depending on your location, you can get a physical card or choose from several digital delivery methods:

• Email: Digital delivery is available in all supported markets, and you can choose to send the gift card immediately or schedule it for a future calendar date
• Text message (SMS link): You can choose to receive a shareable "giftable link" via text message; the recipient can tap this link to instantly claim the credit on their account (they’ll be prompted to log in or sign up if they don’t already have an Airbnb account)
• Physical mail: You can order a physical gift card directly on Airbnb.com to be mailed to the recipient's physical address (only available for delivery within the United States, Canada, and coming soon to Australia, and the United Kingdom)
• Personalized messages: You can write a personal message of up to 150 characters to accompany any digital or physical gift card

Purchase digital gift cards on Airbnb.com

Digital gift cards purchased directly on Airbnb.com are currently available for purchase in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, the United States, and coming soon to Brazil,Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

Important purchase eligibility requirements:

• To comply with local requirements, your billing address country must match the country from which you are purchasing.
• You must use a payment method issued within that purchase country.
• In Brazil, gift cards are not available for purchase on Airbnb.com, but can be purchased through third-party e-commerce retailers and in retail stores.

Purchase physical gift cards from participating retailers

You can buy a physical gift card at participating store locations in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Gift card features

• They are non-refundable: All gift card purchases are strictly non-refundable once the purchase is completed
• Amounts are locked: The value of a gift card is locked at the time of purchase and cannot be increased or decreased; to gift more value, you can purchase an additional card.
• They never expire: Gift cards do not expire, and once added to your account, the balance can be used for stays and experiences around the world (subject to the EEA/Switzerland accommodation-only restriction)
• Refundable credit: If your booking is canceled, any refund eligible under the host's cancellation policy will be returned directly to the gift card balance on your Airbnb account
• You can use multiple gift cards: You can redeem and stack multiple gift cards on a single Airbnb account
• You can use gift cards more than once: Available balance can be used on more than one booking up to the full value of your gift card
