The Annexe at Walnut Tree Cottage

HelenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The fact that we returned 3 months after our last visit, says it all. The Annexe is the break you need to totally switch off. It has everything you need, peace, quiet, no light pollution, countryside, sheep, walks, fruit farm, Mel's amazing bakes, even dogs are fully catered for ... it's just brain break bliss. Our only complaint is that we never stay long enough! Needed just one more night ... next time. Leominster is a short drive or a good walk away, great for antiques mooching. Ludlow a little further on, again great for mooching and a lovely vibe. Mel & Guy (& Bertie) are great hosts, so lovely and friendly, they really make you feel at home and have thought of everything. We love this place.

4 Star Cosy Barn Conversion at Trippenkennet

TonyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
If it’s peace and quiet you are looking for this is the place to stay. The barn was comfortable clean and had everything that was needed. The log burner was an extra bonus. Great communication with Gwyneth and all was easy. Would definitely recommend.

bed. 2 double room with adjacent private bathroom

JeanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Waterford Lodge as we had a wedding to attend 3 miles away at Crumplebury. Pauline’s home is a hidden gem and Pauline herself is a lovely, friendly and helpful lady, nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was superb and cooked at a time we requested, rather than a set time. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A spacious house for 5 adults and 2 dogs. Two large double bedrooms and a third twin room all with comfortable beds. Downstairs loo and shower room was a real bonus. Peaceful surrounds with a lovely view of horses from the two of the bedrooms. Back garden on three levels and such a good sun trap. Highly recommended house with lovely hosts. Thank you

Mobile Home-ideal children,walking & Malvern Hills

LornaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Another return trip to Felicity's mobile home - and everything was as wonderful as it always is :) Weather still a bit chilly overnight whilst we were here this time, so made use of the blankets and the lovely fire in the lounge. Great that Felicity has put a waste bin in the caravan after we mentioned it last time - I just hope that everybody looks after it, and doesn't leave a horrible mess for Felicity to clean up, which is why she had to remove it last time. This a real home from home for us and we're looking forward to another visit at the new site.

Quirky Chapel

SteveRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Chapel is quite simply stunning! Set in gorgeous surroundings this quirky home offers the perfect countryside break. Sunrise and sunset over the lake provide lifetime memories. The accommodation provides plenty of space for two, is clean and well equipped. The stairs are steep and, in places, the ceilings low but aren’t a problem if you’re careful. It’s hard for us to explain just how good this property and its surroundings are as this break was about much more than just a holiday but honestly it was something special.

"Ynys" cottage

OsianRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We loved our stay in this quiet and private home. Our son loved looking at the animals through the window. My wife loved looking at the stars at night. I loved the sunrise with the mist in the valley. The place was tidy, practical and quiet. The shower felt luxurious! It felt pretty relaxing and off-grid - which was what we wanted. It's close enough to Hereford, Hay on Wye and Abergavenny and all of the countryside in between.

Sheepcote Bothy with Black Mountain Views

AbbieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We stayed here for two nights over new year's and had a peaceful, relaxing time. Popped into Hay on Wye and enjoyed the local pubs & cafes, and went for a lovely walk in the surroundings. The accommodation was clean, tidy and just the perfect size for two of us and a very big dog. We could check in at any time with a key box which was great for us non-planners, parking was easy, and the accommodation was distant enough from the main house that it felt very private and quiet. Having a large young dog we always try to ensure we have a private garden and pee/exercise space and Sophie allowed us to use the enclosed field which made life so much easier. We were also very grateful for a later checkout as no-one was in the following day. Super happy & would absolutely stay again. thank you x

The Hoot House ( tawny owls live nearby )

LukeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were a family of 8 and had a great time. Charlie communicated well and we had no problem settling in. The house is very charming with lots of character and we had everything we needed. We walked to the pub in 20 minutes but i wouldn't recommend it for kids or elderly or in the dark. We made a nice little easter egg hunt for the kids in the grounds and enjoyed playing on the Dennis court do. We would definitely come back again.
