Vent Vert is a private inn nestled in a quiet rural area of Takayasu City, Okayama Prefecture.The 29-year-old former farming village facility has been carefully renovated, and now features a log house full of the warmth of wood, an authentic barrel sauna, a cafe where you can taste local ingredients, and a campsite exclusively for guests under the starry sky. This is a warm accommodation facility run by the social welfare corporation P.P.P. that works with the community and also leads to employment support for people with disabilities.The log house has 2 bedrooms, each with 2 queen beds, and is recommended for private use by families or groups of up to 8 people, despite its loft-like, compact design.You can also enjoy outdoor activities that bring you in touch with nature, such as wood splitting and fire making. The sauna is barrel-shaped and made of wood from Okayama Prefecture, and you can blow the steam yourself.Basking in the fresh air under the starry sky is a blissful time to refresh your mind and body.The cafe serves dishes made with home-grown shiitake mushrooms and local vegetables, and Bicchu beef BBQ, offal hot pot, and breakfast plates are available by reservation.Staff with disabilities will welcome you with a smile. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight.
