Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. The house is situated on a lovely natural plot with a wild garden, where you can enjoy the sun, the birdsong and plenty of privacy. The house offers three lovely double rooms, one of which is located on a cozy loft. The spacious living room has a wood-burning stove, a long table and a large, cozy sofa where you can relax. The garden has a spa with sauna, wildland bath, cold water tub and an outdoor shower. The cottage is only 700 meters from a large sandy beach. It is 2.5 km to Hornbæk city center and 600 meters to the train station.
