Beautiful 1 bedroom cottage

This lovely private cottage within 20acre gardens has 1 double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with single oven, 4 hobs, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, table and chairs making it suitable for longer or short stays. The bathroom has full size bath with power shower overhead, and the sitting room 2 double sofas, smart tv and wood burner giving the cottage a really cosy feel. Guests will have access to the well known Green Island Gardens and Colchester is only a 5 minute drive away.

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

The kitchen, including dishwasher and integral fridge freezer were fitted March 24. Dedham, Flatford and East Bergholt are close by as are Colchester, Manningtree, Clacton and Harwich. Good beaches can be found at Frinton, Clacton and Dovercourt Bay, river access at nearby Brightlingsea, Walton on the Naze and Wrabness.

Lovely beaches at Walton, Clacton & Frinton on Sea. Easy drive (4 miles) to Essex University. 25 minutes to Colchester (zoo & castle).

Forget your worries in this calm space. Our annex is detached from the main house and you have the run of the whole place. Set on 1/2 acre of land in the sweet countryside of Tendring Village with lovely farmland views. There is parking on a large drive. Please enjoy our spacious green garden where our chickens roam free. There's lots of walk’s nearby, including beaches just 15-20 mins drive. There is 1 large bedroom with double bed, with 3 small folding beds available on request.

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

With 3 traditional country pub that serve food and the Stutton community centre that sells local produce you will be stuck for choice!

Located in a quiet village on the Essex/Suffolk border, this converted rustic barn is a stylish family friendly bolthole. Within easy reach of the picturesque Stour valley, the barn is perfect for family stays in need of space and tranquil countryside adventures.
