The space
You enter a hotel room, but they are very diverse: single (1 bed of 120 or 160x200), double (1 bed of 180x200), twin (2 beds of 100x200), suite (2 rooms), quadruple, quintuple, with recent beds of top quality. Rooms are located on one of the streets or on our private courtyard, on 6 floors, with beautiful windows, even in the bathroom, some with a double airlock door, or a shower cubicle, or a balcony. All are equipped with numerous electrical outlets, a modern phone with hands-free and speakerphone, and a mini-fridge. Cleaning is done every day, and the towels in the bathroom are changed.
The hotel is old, its foundations are millennia old, they date back perhaps to the times of the Roman Empire, when Paris was called Lutetia: we are close to the Roman baths of Cluny. The atmosphere is both family-friendly and multicultural. Many artists, writers, musicians, authors and publishers, journalists, teachers, and academics, filmmakers, have always stayed there, but also entrepreneurs, startups, and tourists of course, all from all over the world. But the most important thing is not your room, it is the magnificent atmosphere of the neighborhood, whose most lively arteries, the streets of Seine and Buci, are those that line the windows of the hotel (which are double glazed).

It is a wonderful village, loved by writers, poets, artists, creators, teachers and students, and even now startupers.
Since the foundation of its former abbey, more than 1000 years ago, the tradition here is to remake the world, in front of a glass of wine, a beer or a coffee, sitting at one of the many terraces of the cafes that make it the charm, or in one of the many bars and pubs.
Hotel La Louisiane is right in the center of this village, 10 minutes from the Seine: just cross the beautiful Passerelle des Arts to enter the Cour Carré du Louvre.
We are right next to the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Latin Quarter and Saint-Michel, the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Mint and the Musée d 'Orsay.
All around the hotel, you can visit many surprising galleries of contemporary art, because it is also here that is the School of Fine Arts of Paris.

Here, I know every street, café, restaurant, club, and all good address in this wonderful neighbourhood, the most pleasant in Paris : La Louisiane stand exactly in the middle. The hotel has always preserved with humbleness the authentic and poetic spirit of “The Quartier" in its rooms. And it still organize its artistic and literary events, far from luxury boutiques and snobbish places.
