Felt right at home. I've never stayed in someone's home before on Airbnb, but Mikael made us feel right at home. Having a ton of space, a full kitchen, access to laundry space was invaluable for our trip. Although we didn't have a chance to use the hot tubs they looked clean and spacious. In retrospect, we would have spayed longer because there is just so much to see in just an hour drive radius around the town. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Alistair’s place! The apartment was beautiful—thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable. As a family of four, we found that it had literally everything we could need, from kitchen essentials to cozy touches that made it feel like home. The location was super convenient with easy driving to all of the attractions we wanted to visit, and the apartment itself was warm and inviting after long days of exploring. We enjoyed it so much that we could honestly imagine ourselves living there. Highly recommend!

Beautiful large single storey house in open area, close to a few other houses, but positioned in such a way that you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but Hveragerdi is only 2mins drive away. Ultra modern, huge floor to ceiling windows so light & airy, underfloor heating throughout, spacious, top spec kit, clean lines, sleek, smart, well equipped kitchen. Awesome hot tub on huge decked area overlooking countryside & mountains. Great space to relax after day of sightseeing. Perfect for us & kids. Excellent, responsive host. Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay in Iceland! This house was truly a home away from home. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how well-stocked and thoughtfully prepared everything was. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals, which was a huge plus considering the cost of eating out in Iceland. The living area was cozy and perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the linens were nice. We loved having access to the washing machine and dryer. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, and the smart TV was great for winding down in the evenings. The location was ideal for exploring Golden Circle and South Coast. We found it easy to access local shops and restaurants, and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Overall, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations. Lovely place. Perfect base for travelling. Teens loved the big TVs! Always really warm after a day trip out. Comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Everything you need. Only one thing not perfect - the hot tub is not like a UK hot tub. It's a big tub you fill with hot water when you want to use it, which takes a while.

Friendly host. Large family home in a quiet neighbourhood. Great location out of the capital as a base for exploring. We enjoyed our stay here.

Loved our stay for the few nights we were there. Check in was easy and there is a lot of nice places locally, both for food and exploring. Made a great place to start as we travelled and explored the south of the island! A great place to stay!

We loved Hulda's apartment. The location is perfect for your Golden Circle Experience as it's really close to all the main attractions. The apartment is cute, very clean and easy to access.Also three of us were very comfortable and a family of four could manage well there. It's less than five minutes from multitudes of great restaurants in what looks like an up and coming town in Sulfoss. I could not recommend Hulda and her place enough!

Highly recommend staying with Dagrun! Their love for hosting almost rivals their love for Iceland. Although it's a shared house, the whole upstairs is completely separated with a locking door. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living room. Plus they share not only their knowledge of Iceland but their beautiful garden. Their location in Selfoss was perfect as it was more centrally located to major attractions. Plus they are walking distance to several delicious restaurants. We are already planning out next trip to Iceland and plan on booking with them again!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Wohnung gefühlt und auch die Lage und die Umgebung mit den Pferdeweiden rundherum hat uns gut gefallen. Es war ein super Startpunkt für viele Ausflüge und die Nähe zum Ort Selfoss war auch sehr praktisch zum Einkaufen und tanken. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, sodass wir kaum etwas zu kritisieren hatten.

Sehr freundliche und schnelle Kommunikation. Tolles kleines Apartment für zwei Personen. Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Man kann direkt vor der Unterkunft im Hof parken. Supermarkt, Bäckerei und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Absolut empfehlenswert.

What a lucky find! Quiet little place in the neighborhood just a short walk from the center of Selfoss. We were the last guests for the season and even though the weather was a bit soggy this proved a great location for going out to explore and then cozy up with a book afterwards.

Our stay at Brynja’s was great! She was very proactive about communication and the Airbnb was exactly what we needed. Some great tourist spots were conveniently nearby and others were not a long drive away. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you want to spend less time driving and more time exploring like we did!

Die Wohnung ist super stilvoll und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns in dieser gemütlichen Wohnung direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Lage ist toll, alles was man braucht, ist in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Einfach toll!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was easy to find, the check in instructions were simple and there was plenty of parking. The location is great. The Selfoss Food Hall is just a few steps away. The apartment was immaculate and comfortable.

Loved the apartment. Was very clean, organized, spacious and quiet. Anna was a great host. Most importantly we were able to see the northern lights from the balcony. We had an amazing time. Will definitely be back.

el apartamento muy grande, con todas las comodidades, mejor que en las fotos, es la casa particular de la anfitriona que es muy amable y contesta muy rápido. estaba todo muy limpio y debes dejarlo limpio a la salida puesto que no se paga en la reserva el servicio de limpieza. también tuvimos que hacernos las camas pero las instrucciones están muy bien indicadas ! estuvimos muy a gusto!!

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was spacious, extremely well equipped, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was amazing, with more tools and utensils than we could ever use. It is about a 10 minute walk to the New Old Selfoss area, where most of the shopping that we used is located. Sindri was responsive to our requests and accommodating to our needs.

Gunnsi’s apartment was conveniently located in the adorable town of Selfoss close to restaurants and grocery stores. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole place was super clean! Lots of conveniences like outlets with USB ports by the bed! And hosts were quick to respond to messages! I was a little concerned when we first arrived because the upstairs neighbor had a dog that barked but we only heard it when we would come and go. We would definitely stay again!

Kolbrún haar appartement is zeer ruim en rustig gelegen. Wij verbleven er met onze 2 kinderen en zij konden leuk in de achtertuin spelen. De aanwezigheid van een wasmachine en droogkast waren een pluspunt. Zeker met kinderen was dit uitermate handig. Vlotte communicatie, top ligging, superhost!

It was wonderful to stay at Arna's family second home. Great hostess. My first nice Airbnb experience. This apartment is very well situated and close to a lot of sights. The town of Selfoss is charming and easy to walk.. Highly recommend staying at her place. You will love this place. Very nice indeed. Thank you Arna. :-)

We had a great stay in Selfoss. The condo is tucked into a complex of sorts. There is a playground very close which was great for our kids. The condo was very cozy, clean and comfortable. We were out sightseeing most of our time and this was a great “home base”. Not much to see right around the condo but that didn’t bother us. The condo had everything we needed and more. Thanks for a great stay!!

Our family of four stayed 6 days at Margret’s apartment. It was equipped with everything we needed - the small commodities like coffee and tea bags, salt and pepper were very nice to see. The local sweets left by the host were a nice gesture too :). The apartment was spacious enough for the 4 of us to stay comfortably. The host is extremely responsive. All of my messages were responded to within minutes. When I mentioned that the kettle wasn't working on the evening of our first day, it was left by the door early next day. There were some crumbs on the wardrobe shelves and some dog hair (I think) in some places but that didn't bother us. We just cleaned it with the available equipment and detergents. We'd definitely stay there again if we were returning to Iceland.
