Chalet holiday rentals in India

Due to occurrences outside Varghese’s control, the room we had booked with him became unavailable prior to our stay. However, Varghese was extremely helpful in lining up an alternate location for us to stay, sending pictures to make sure we were happy with the change, and covering all our room expenses there. He was helpful and communicative throughout the process. Thank you so much!

My second time here, this time with family. always excited to stay here. the view, the place is amazing. My family loved it too. Will visit again in future. Great host and caretaker. Always there to help you.

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort . We will surely visit again. Thank you Mr. Sanjeev

Beautiful Surroundings, Very Spacious Bungalow, Great food prepared by the Caretakers (Tilak Raj & Pritpal) Dal prepared by them is a must try!! They were very Helpful & shared a lot of information! Road approach of the last 1-2 kms is a bit rough & risky, expert driver should be able to manage. But it's absolutely worth it when you reach the property!!

Charu is a great host, she has carefully designed her place to be perfect for both solo traveller or groups/families. Caretaker is extremely helpful, surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Her place is one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed. Definitely coming back and recommend it. Thanks for hosting me!

Pugmarks Forrest Resort had been the highlight of our backpacking adventure in India. The resort is stunning with treehouse chalets that are comfortable and ecologically sound. Great Indian food is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Elephants, Deer, bison, monkeys, rabbits, squirrels, various birds and lizards can all be seen. Our host Gopa was just the best. Cheerful, amiable and supper helpful. The photos do not do this place justice! it's better than we could have possible hoped for. We will be very sad to leave.

Extremely beautiful location . Satyen and his team are very hospitable .It’s totally safe even if we travel solo . There was warmth and coziness in every aspect .I Wll recommend this property to nature lovers those who love wilderness yet be snug and comfortable . Keep it up 👍

a wonderful place to spend time with family. best part is that it's adventurous to get inside the property. Rashmi was super responsive and welcoming the care taker, Pratap helped us with food and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming, century-old chalet, beautifully renovated to offer modern comforts. The highlight is the stunning view of the Mondovi River, visible from the entire chalet—an experience that felt refreshingly different from our usual stays. It’s an ideal place for family and friends to gather, with a relaxed atmosphere and fewer restrictions compared to other places. A special mention to Mrs. Irvine, the caretaker, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The only drawback is the limited availability of nearby stores for essentials. Additionally, the parking area opens directly onto the main street, which can be a bit challenging during busy hours. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind and connect with loved ones.

5* Location: Right at the Dal lake waterfront -- almost a houseboat with blissful views and gentle breeze. But without the stench and hygiene issues of a houseboat. 5* Maintenance: Very nice interiors, clean linen and bath, small yet adequately functional kitchenette. And 24x7 hot water that was perfect for the cold weather. 5* Service: We were stuck in gridlocked Srinagar streets (due to Tulip festival) By the team time we checked in to the property it was very late in the evening (~9pm) Caretaker Musa Bhai waited patiently for us, even drove us to nearby restaurants and get dinner, helped plan our visits to Sonmrg, Gulmarg and other tourist attractions. Abid quick to respond to any queries. He helped find local tour operators. Only improvement I'd suggest is to install a RO Water Purifier. Felt guilty almost, consuming water packaged in plastic bottles. (btw this is across Kashmir hotels, not specific to this property)

The place is incredibly spacious and looks exactly like the pictures. It’s peaceful, clean, and well-maintained, with spotless washrooms. The in-house store is a great convenience, making everything easily accessible. You can spend an entire day relaxing at home, enjoying the serene riverbank views. It’s perfect for large groups, offering plenty of space for activities and gatherings. Whether you’re looking to unwind or have fun with friends and family, this place provides a comfortable and refreshing stay! A special mention to Irene, who is extremely helpful, kind, and a wonderful person to talk to, bringing great vibes to the experience.

The place is very peaceful and beautiful, it was a good stay for me. Krishna and Darren were very helpful. There are 2 great restaurants right next to the stay. Morjim beach is just 10 mins walk from the stay. I loved that the place is pet friendly, got to meet the kittens and super friendly doggo Max.

A lovely little place, perfect for 4-5 people. The place is well-maintained and has a charming aesthetic. Its proximity to the beach—just a stone’s throw away—adds to the appeal. It’s also conveniently located near the main area, making it easy to find restaurants and supermarkets. If you prefer delivery, Swiggy is always an option. Overall, a great experience!

The property was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helped out with everything we needed. It's accessible by road and one can easily drive down to nearby beaches and local markets.

This is a place not just for your mind and body but also the soul. The chalet has excellent ventilation and the view is to die for. The design and the setting blends minimalist philosophy with comfort so that you have everything you need in a manner sustainable to the environment. The food that this establishment serves is as good as Italian cuisine gets. I haven’t tasted such good pasta since my time in Italy. I would certainly consider their spaghetti as the best I have had in india. The culture of the establishment has struck a perfect balance between respecting the privacy of the guests while also ensuring that the stay is comfortable. The pool is especially the highlight of this place besides the beach access. Over all- the vacation and the stay here was perfect.

A Hidden Gem – More Than What We Expected! Little Paradise truly lives up to its name! This place exceeded all our expectations and gave us the perfect getaway for my husband’s birthday celebration. Nestled in a serene location, the best part is its unmatched accessibility to the beach—just cross the road, and you’re right there, soaking in the waves! The rooms were squeaky clean, offering a cozy and comfortable stay. But what truly set this place apart was the hospitality of Jahangir and his wonderful family, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food quality and taste were absolutely unmatched—each meal was a delight! What made our stay even more special was how pet-friendly this place is. We traveled with our pup, Bella, and she had the time of her life! The warm welcome and the thoughtful goodie bag they gifted her on our last day was the sweetest touch. Hats off to the team !
