Holiday rentals with a sauna in Island of Hawai'i

It was pretty basic, but what we expected. A lovely view from the swimming pool...and a great location to explore Captain Cook!

This was a great place to spend with a senior guest who was visiting Hawaii for the first time and who was comfortable sleeping late in her own bedroom, jumping on the rent-a-car for a daily excursion and coming home to spend the evening relaxing in the lanai watching the waves, the surfers, and the sunsets. I was able to take a few quick morning walks to the nearby markets and beaches and the time flew! The location was ideal for both worlds and made for the best mother/daughter trip ever!

Loved everything about this rental and especially the huge lanai! Everything inside was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed having access to the private beach club. We spent several relaxing days hanging out and snorkeling on the beach as well as enjoyed drinks and food at the restaurant, Napua. We grilled out by the pool one night and enjoyed a spectacular view of the sunset over the ocean right from the dining area. Would definitely book this unit again!

This was our second time staying at Kathy’s beautiful condo, and it was just as amazing as we remembered! The two-bedroom, top-floor unit is beautifully decorated with a tropical Hawaiian touch, making it feel like a true island getaway. The furniture is comfortable, and the lanai offers breathtaking views of the pool and beach—our favorite spot to relax with a morning coffee or evening drink. The property itself is fantastic, with well-maintained grounds, a stunning pool, and a great outdoor barbecue area. The location on Alili Drive is perfect—peaceful, yet close to everything we needed. Kathy is a wonderful host, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful Hawaiian retreat!

Sara’s place was beautiful. The condo was extremely peaceful, and felt luxurious and comfortable and clean. We had such an amazing time on the big island and this was the perfect home base. We’ll be back!!

What a find, amazing location across from a sand beach, nicely decorated, fun water toys, great pool and hot tub, comfy beds, beautiful view and so quite. What more could you ask for. Brenda was so easy to communicate with and we would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

This spacious property was great for our big Ohana! We enjoyed the morning and evening, rattan interiors giving an Hawaiian feel 🌺. The grocery store and vegetarian food places were close by which was a breeze. Kitchen was well stocked and in-house laundry was super helpful. It was a clean house with well running air conditioners. Overall, extremely satisfied. Thank you for hosting us!!

We had a comfortable stay in our spacious and clean space. We also enjoyed our time at the pool and watching the sunset from our balcony. An overall great stay!

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

We had a lovely stay at Tanya’s place! It was the perfect landing spot for a peaceful, quiet place to relax and still make for easy driving to a lot of attractions. The outdoor deck and lanai were so beautiful. The house was spotless. As Tanya explains in the listing, the downstairs and upstairs are not connected, but it is easy to walk down the exterior stairs to access the second apartment. We spent our Saturday at Waimea farmer’s market (25 mins) and onto Pololu valley lookout and hike (40 more minute drive). On Sunday morning we enjoyed breakfast at Tex drive in (15 mins), continued on to Akaka falls (40 more mins), and last at Onomea Bay trail (20 more mins). It was all the perfect activity-filled weekend and the Airbnb made it so easy to get between places and was a great escape from activity.
