Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Enjoy Takayama's history to the fullest in an excellent location. <Building and Hida master carpenters> Built 145 years ago by a master craftsman from Hida, this building has been revived here by modern craftsmen. Nagano Kisoji | A luxurious house carefully renovated with the tastes and culture of 1931

We basically accept reservations for 2 nights or more because we want you to stay in a historic town in the mountains for a while. Located in the town next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo Road, it is a historic town that has prospered as a producer of Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period. It was built in 1931 in a town that has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings and still has lacquerware shops. Limited to one group per day without meals, the entire building is available for rent. I think the charm of Hirasawa is the beauty and richness of everyday life. I would be happy if you could stay in this old town as if you were living here, reading, taking a walk, drinking local sake (sake and wine), sleeping and waking up slowly. We also post about our daily life on social media, so please take a look. There is no screen door in the old house in the valley of the mountain, so in the warm season, natural creatures may come in. The building from 1993 is not polished to the last detail. We are preparing to welcome you as cleanly as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with an open mind.

A spacious, 221-year-old private house in the center of Tsumagojuku!

This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Equipped with WiFi and an automatic lifting table, teleworking is also possible for long-term stays. Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house. We look forward to seeing you ！
